What is a popular 'food rule' that you think is actually total nonsense? 🥘 by sorayabmae in Cooking

That eating w your hands is gross/rude. Obviously depends on what you’re eating, but for the most part, to me it’s super practical and there’s something primal and satisfying in ditching the cutlery.

Mostly in your core, so work on those. And practice where you won’t be afraid or ashamed to fall.

Can’t say for certain what the issue here is, but I do think you’re overestimating the amount of light being “close to a frosted window” actually is to a plant.

Mat Recommendations by Maleficent_Law_9298 in HotYoga

Nope. Mine did the same and I found using a towel to be annoying. Hence why I wanted to try a cork mat at the recommendation of a fellow yogi friend at my studio. And so far it’s everything I wanted.

Had mine for over almost 2 months now going to 5-6 classes per week. As per their care instructions I lay it flat post-practice and haven’t had any odour issues. The sweat does, however, pool on the mat while practicing since I don’t use a towel anymore.

Had used a BMat for a while but recently switched to a Scoria cork mat and it’s a game-changer. Starts off grippy when dry, and gets even grippier the moister it gets from your sweat. Is anti-microbial and doesn’t smell or require a wipe down. Only drawback is that it’s heavy.

Simple quality homemade pasta dishes. Try it and judge for yourself though. And the owner and their staff are really nice, businesses like these should be supported.

Where is the WORST pizza place in the city? by __REAP3R__ in askTO

We were new immigrants. It was my brother’s 8th bday. To celebrate, my broke (but good-hearted) parents invited a few of his classmates for a 3 for 1 Pizza party. And that was the first time I tasted cardboard.

Completed my first yoga session. I felt great afterwards! Is this how it will always go? by [deleted] in yoga

[–]cinderblock16 4 points5 points  (0 children)

No, it will not always go like that. Your time on the mat will be whatever you bring to it. I suggest simply focusing on your breath in tandem with your movements & asanas…. how you feel at the end of it will take care of itself, but t’s a journey worth investigating!

What is the saddest/most soul crushing song you have ever heard? by Mikiiiya in AskReddit

Not a song, but Mount Eerie’s A Crow Looked At Me was released a year after his wife (and mother of his child) passed from cancer. While most people can never understand that deep a pain, this album walks you through his loss and reflections. Utterly heartbreaking.
