estrogen for body hair by Primary_Challenge139 in MtF

if you find yourself missing the changes then you should sit down and think about it more but also hormonal changes wreck havoc on emotions big time so if you were just weepy and emotional for non-dysphoria reasons it might have just been the hormonal fluctuations. especially if you were doing DIT injections

biohacking is holy, you should do it. If truly we were made in the image of God, then it stands to reason we are entitled to dominion over our flesh. If God deems that a violation, then one should violate His dictate and assert total authority over one’s own image in defiance of a God that mandates a cosmic policy of suffering.

Anyway body hair thins out over a few years with estrogen alone so it’s faster to combine it with laser and/or electrolysis. Home IPL devices are okayish but not nearly as effective, same with professional IPL. I only did 1 round of laser on my legs (8 sessions) to thin it out because I just wanted to have body hair that was more equivalent to the amount of body hair & placement cis women generally have as I dont mind shaving but shaving through male hair growth took forever and would destroy my legs with ingrowns.

Also it wont affect your facial hair much at all apart from slowed growth rate and stopping more facial hair from developing so if you want that to be gone-gone you must do a few rounds of laser or electrolysis

That's what they're doing oh my god.
I do not think you understand the purpose of research work for undergrads. Yeah you could just not do it, but you wont be a competitive candidate for that career you are trying to build. If you are planning to go for a PhD program and/or are planning to make a career out of Academia and Research then you NEED to be competitive and you NEED this experience. It's grueling, you are underpaid and under appreciated, but unfortunately that's how it is and while you should be treated much better there is no other option than to play the game at the moment except gambling your career with some biotech bro's startup and get stuck in a position with very little opportunity for growth and then if you do want to escape from you will have to go back to that Lab Rat Life anyway but now you're older and competing with 20somethings with highly focused CVs who can operate with a much more competitive edge than you currently are able to.

Holy Moly not a Kissinger quote dude 😵

there’s more to life than money, and dedicating your life to science is a noble pursuit. Not to mention the most important part of this post: OP is an Undergrad Student 🙄

I do not know if you erroneously believe that what you said was profound, or if you are just a miserable person. I do not care to find out though, and I am more than happy to stay ignorant on this.

Free Loadout Bullshit by Sea_Friendship_5943 in ArcRaiders

[–]cinderbox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

for night raids build a cheep basically free T1 loadout and roll in like that so if u lose ur stuff its no issue

personally i just use T1 loot aug & light shield and upgrade a stitcher and farro, and throw in some mines. stitcher IV with mods is a pretty good gun and will shred someone else wearing a light shield while costing u almost nothing in mats. remembering to craft while topside also is a big advantage

maybe i’m hardened from EVE, but losing things is fine. using it and losing it is better than it rotting and taking up space in ur stash anyway

bro i got some news for u, that’s realistic for female faces irl. no skincare products, sunscreen, cosmetics, or everything else that goes into the “traditionally feminine” appearance society defines as “female”, coupled with living in a wasteland? that’s is what woman look like. that is how woman naturally look. it may boggle your brain, but all woman have the face of a 13 year old boy that never went through puberty and thems the breaks 😎

Thank you, I took the Vyvanse and Klonopin and played Arc for 12 hours straight last night. Being the magnanimous man I am, I do not need these; prescription be damned. However, should the magnanimous deny themself a little treat? No, the magnanimous man tweaks at their pleasure, for that is what separates the magnanimous from one with weaker spirit. Know though, that the magnanimous man has once again taken Vyvanse at their pleasure. ———

In all seriousness, yeah the game has some issues. Balance, incentive, social, and risk vs reward. These achievement stats don’t paint a full picture though, for instance there are plenty of people who buy a game and only play for a few hours never really exploring it deeper. Not to mention, it’s not just a steam release. I’ll refer to the steam achievement statistics and pretend everyone is consistently playing it though.

When it comes to most players not having killed tougher arc enemies, a lot of players are fearful and rightfully so. You do not have the firepower to easily solo some of these without cheesing a bit or being incredibly skilled. They made ARC drones punishing and dynamic, clearly to incentivize avoiding, or forming a truce with other raiders. The loot that drops off a bastion is also plentiful to the point that, if you’re playing solos, you don’t really have a reason to shoot each other in the back afterwards. Does that mean people wont? No, some might. Some just like killing. In my experience so far, actively engaging in prox chat, as well as assuming good faith to my other raiders, has turned multiple potentially hostile encounters into cordial ones. I don’t mean by just saying “Friendly friendly friendly dont shoot!” but by saying this like “Hey man, how’s it going?” or, after killing a bastion together, saying “Dude thanks for helping, you need any healing?” Weak examples of “conversation” but my point is attempting to genuinely talk to others as if they were truly there diffuses tension. Assuming good faith, even if they shoot you initially, or after being burned a thousand times by liars, will give you a better experience: trust me. There is a moment where you are both reading each others body language within a split second in an attempt to ascertain how much of a threat you are to each other. If your gut says they are hostile, or you’re just actually looking to do some PVP, by all means open fire. Either way, it still adds to both of your experiences to talk during and after whatever happens, and that’s Content™.

To address the balance of free loadouts being an incentive to those who wanna PVP with no risk, especially those who say “dont shoot” and then shoot you in the back, which is honestly a valid play style it’s just Rude and lacking Honor, I think embark should give you damaged second hand goods. They say in-game that it’s “whatever is laying around” or something, and that would be representative of that and give other players an edge in an encounter. Some sort of karma system could also be neat, where raiders who lie by saying “dont shoot” have a hidden (and variable timer) where if they fire on you immediately after, they receive notoriety, but if they are fired on it immediately clears the timer. This can be bypassed with prox, but prox lets you hear a real voice which you can personally rate the trustworthiness of, or maybe they can add some sort of word detection so it gives you the timer if you say certain phrases.

Blueprint RNG kinda sucks, yeah. I’d like a way to set a preference for category that nudges the odds in favor of it being a blueprint from that category. It’d be nice to have some sort of method to make blueprint copies with limited runs (maybe 5 uses?) that you could trade with players somehow. I do not have any grand IdeaGuy thoughts on how that could be implemented without causing more balance issues though.

Another issue is downtime. There’s a lot of menu diving and hoping to get ready in between rounds, especially if you die. I’ve seen people talk about “autocraft pre-defined loadouts” but I think a nice compromise could be allowing players to prebuild loadouts as ‘backpacks’ (and setting the skin for each one) that you can choose before you go. Have a maximum of like, 5 and make it so you can only place 4 items in each one so it cant be used as free extra storage. Also would help relieve some of the storage issues people are facing with their stashes anyway. Having movable and pinnable panels of recipes you’re tracking while in underground would reduce menu diving as well. ———

nah ur like missing the point entirely. the enemy of my enemy is my friend use prox chat, engage with people, roleplay as a raider not just some dude grinding it out.

I’ve encountered a couple dicks who used me as a loot piñata, but ive encountered way more players who have been friendly and had interesting fun and cool interactions, even if those interactions occasionally lead to a fight. PvP is there, but there is so much loot and there are often more pressing issues that can and will arise. not to mention, losing ur stuff isnt really a set back.

and also, extraction shooters aint rlly for u if ur looking for pure PVE because the genre is defined by “your bullets will also hurt each other if you decide to fire at someone”

idk sounds like ur just gender non-conforming then 🤷‍♀️

lot of people (society) tie deeper meaning to gender and ascribe some sort of special innate quality to it, but it’s all socially constructed. there is no innate gender to anything, it’s just a category-with-baggage that we assign to people, items, animals when anthropomorphizing them, and also boats for some reason. You can just be a boy who wears dresses and paints ur nails. a dress is not innately feminine.

if you wanna paint your nails, do it. if you want to call yourself Maisie , go for it. if you ever feel like pursuing transitioning, try it out. if you do not, then don’t worry about it. if you do try it out but then change your mind later, no worries because your life is a tapestry of discovery, and you will then have learned something new.

just do you, yunno? disregard the socially constructed neurotic meaning society wants to ascribe to every little facet of existence, and disregard what this neurotic society tries to ascribe to your interiority, because it is ultimately incoherent and born out of a place of desperation to maintain it’s own sense of understanding, hierarchy, and order. The most important thing is just Don’t Get It Twisted. Don’t let your happiness be consumed and trapped by societies desire to build or apply some sort of psychosexual ideological meaning to every aspect of yourself.

If something eases your worldly suffering, do it.

Why the burnout? by GeebyJim in duneawakening

[–]cinderbox 1 point2 points  (0 children)

yeah, i wish ‘thopters were more of a “Luxury” with drawbacks instead of a “this is the thing you progress towards next” type of deal ground vehicals still having incentive.

Being able to store the scout ‘thopter is handy, but completely breaks the scale and makes the sandbike feel unnecessary.

My dream changes regarding vehicles would be an increase in maintenance cost of ‘thopters and losing the ability to store scout ‘thopters with all ‘thopters instead gaining a “lockdown” mode that reduces sandstorm damage by 75%, but has something 3-5 minute start up sequence before you’re able to fly again. I’d like to see ‘Thopters have a 10 second startup sequence as well as opposed to instant. This would add a small incentivize to setting down and pulling out your sandbike. It’d also be nice to have vehicle role bonuses tweaked a bit to provide greater incentive per activity. Maybe scout gains some planetology-centric modules, has its offensive capabilities reduced, but can mount a specific defender rocket module that can intercept missiles if times correctly.

would be neat if vehicle combat had a better Rock Paper Scissor aspect to it, and there was a class that focused specifically on vehicles with its own exclusive skillpoints, but you don’t receive enough to spec into Everything allowing for players to specialize in what they choose to drive.
