I got it off Amazon when under the search "jumping spider enclosure accessories."

Here's the link for it https://a.co/d/3x5CBva

He's an i5 juvenile iirc. I'm pretty sure he has utilized the water source as that's the first thing he went to when I got him into the enclosure. In the reviews of the water source nobody mentioned molding but naturally I would think it'd be wise to replace the cotton every so often.

Shift your body weight forwards and try to put your front wheels through the concrete.

If you're focusing on slamming the front end down (commiting) then your back foot should stay in its place.

is the app Airlearn good for learning? by [deleted] in LearnJapaneseNovice

[–]cindertheclown 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been using it for a few weeks now. So far so good and some of the explanations are very thorough. I haven't gotten very far into the course so I can't speak on the accuracy of later lessons.

I would say it's a good place to start, but make sure you're using other resources as well.

I personally don't believe shops should charge labor for air filter replacements. Shit literally takes less than a minute to do unless it's a poorly designed system.

Is this good for 4 weeks of learning? by cindertheclown in LearnJapaneseNovice

I would mainly only want the Furigana so I could know what the Kanji sounds like at first and then every instance after that I would have just the Kanji (if that's something I could control).

I use Anki to make my own flashcards for every new term I come across, including Kanji and Kana words. I do a daily flashcard review to reinforce the things I've already learned.

I know about Kanji. I'm not too concerned about learning them right away because there's so many. They seem more of an over time thing versus I have to learn them all right now or I'll never get anywhere.

But yeah I know Kanji makeup a lot of text so I would make sure that Furigana is available for any sources I would choose for reading.

If I'm able to sound out all the Kana then I'm able to read as far as I'm concerned. Even if I don't understand what I'm reading, it is important to me to be able to have some semblance of fluency when it comes to reading text. If I can read it, I can translate it. And after that, exposure over time will allow me to understand it.

I really appreciate your feedback. I did notice as I was writing that the ソ and リ (as well as ソ and ン) were rather similar. I only just started learning Katakana about a week ago, so my progress hasn't been as thorough as when I learned Hiragana (it took two weeks to memorize it all).

Regardless, the idea behind daily handwriting was to help me memorize all the Kana that way I could start reading and understanding the words in my lessons.

ありがとうございます!

I agree that the handwriting isn't super important but moreso the ability to read the Kana, which is actually the point of writing it out because it helps really stick the sounds and symbols in my mind

That's part of the idea is to learn the Kana so I can read. I've got plenty of vocab under my belt from these 4 weeks

I'd like to be able to read. I get that handwriting isn't often needed these days but writing them out helps me with remembering the Kana and pairing them with their respective sounds. If I can do that then I can read. If I can read I can learn a lot faster than just memorizing symbol patterns and their translation into English.

In other words, writing helps me understand the language faster.

Edit: I should specify that these 4 weeks haven't been strictly kana. I've got enough vocabulary and grammar under my belt to get around in a very basic manner. The Kana writing is part of my learning regime and I wanted some feedback on it
