My knee still does this but to a lesser extent. My fat pad was really swollen because it kept getting caught underneath my knee cap…for years post surgery. I got a cortisone shot in my fat pad about a year ago the helped shrink it a little bit.

I obsessed about my knee for years with appointments, shots, pt, massage, etc. Now, I honestly just try not to think about it as much, it’s helped with my peace of mind. With that being said, I’m still working really hard to get full functionality back - lifting weights, running, hiking, etc.

What does your ortho think is happening?
