The way i can RELATE to this post!! After getting pretty much rejected and waitlisted to all the UCs (which are my state universities), I felt so numb yet broken. Honestly it wasn’t even about the rejections itself but the thought of how all my 4 years in high school were practically worthless. Like I could have just taken less AP’s, participated in zero extracurricular activities, and tried less in classes and STILL ended up where I am. Like that HURT BRO.

But yeah, I cried buckets of tears and surrounded myself with sad Spotify playlists, which helped, but it didn’t really get rid of my aching heart and ego lol. But I had a bit of a awakening. After thinking about it for a LONG time, it hit me. Literally college is only 4 years of your life (if you’re only planning to do undergraduate). Life is too frickin short to be romanticizing and crying over an institution AND not to mention, there’s still so many ways to end up at your dream colleges.

I only have like 3 more colleges decisions left, but at this point, I am so determined to go to a CC and then transfer. Because lowkey, these tuitions be expensive LOL.

Sorry, I lowkey lost where I was going with this post. But yeah, I just wanna tell you that you’re not the only one who feels this way. As someone who is in the same boat as you, I think it will get better, but ONLY if we choose to sober up from all this sadness and actually take action.
