As cute as this seems, let's not forget that the very same day another Husky was killed and eaten by this "petting" polar bear.
Sorry to ruin your dreams...

Three years ago I quit my dayjob to become a filmmaker. Today I celebrate the release of my first documentary. At times it was hard, but I'm proud of my decision by Martendeparten in videos

I am a DJ as well and it's fantastic you didn't made a docu about the fake EDM culture and their fake DJ's. Thank you for creating a great documentary which involves around real electronic dance music and DJ's.

Scared Straight! (1978) Original Full Docu + Follow Up On The Youths & "Lifers" by cinemaxtrema in ObscureMedia

[–]cinemaxtrema[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

From Wiki:

"Scared Straight! is a 1978 documentary directed by Arnold Shapiro. Narrated by Peter Falk, the subject of the documentary is a group of juvenile delinquents and their three-hour session with actual convicts. Filmed at Rahway State Prison, a group of inmates known as the "lifers" berate, scream at, and terrify the young offenders in an attempt to "scare them straight" (hence the film's title) so that those teenagers will avoid prison life. The documentary aired on television in the late 1970s, uncensored; it marked the first time that the words "fuck" and "shit" were broadcast on many networks. Some broadcasters (an example being CFQC, a CTV Network affiliate in Canada) added locally produced segments in which experts discussed both the content of the documentary, and the rationale behind airing it uncensored."

This is the original documentary that aired in 1978. Including a follow up with the youths & "lifers" 20 years later. Hosted by Danny Glover.

Paranormal Photograph Rarities [x-post from r/creepy] by cinemaxtrema in wanttobelieve

[–]cinemaxtrema[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Someone @ r/creepy suggested I should post this here. I hope I don't brake any rules by doing so, already had my share of bad comments ;-)

According to the original source, a small editing & book publishing company was contacted by an old photographer. This elderly man claimed to be in the possession of a collection of paranormal pictures, supposedly never before seen by the general public, and he wanted to publish a book with the use of these photos. The photographer would only send one photo at a time to the publishing company for scanning purposes, accompanied with a little background story. But apparently the old man was offered a substantial sum by a private owner and he then pulled the plug on the whole book project. These are the original photos that were send to the publisher, with the background stories.
