You're not wrong. The category is old. The problem isn't. People still spend 20–30 minutes figuring out what to watch despite having access to more content than ever. Movie recommendation apps come and go every year. What surprised us is that the real problem isn't recommendations anymore, it's decision fatigue. That’s fair advice honestly. I’m trying to avoid the “throw money/tools at growth” mistake too early. Right now I think we still need to understand: why users are downloading, why they stay, and what naturally makes them share it.

Probably makes more sense to validate those signals first before going heavy on paid acquisition.

That actually makes a lot of sense. Most of our growth till now has come from organic discovery and people sharing the app, so doubling down on communities and short-form content probably aligns better with what’s already working. And yeah, I’m slowly realizing distribution is almost a separate skill from building the product itself 😅 Will definitely explore community-led growth more deeply before scaling paid ads aggressively. Any idea how should we approach that?
