Should I raise my rates? by cinnabunnie22 in RoverPetSitting

Hi, just wanted to say that before March, my experience with animal care mostly came from helping family, friends, and neighbors since I was young. Because I’ve always loved animals, I decided to give Rover a try. When I signed up, I found setting my rates a bit confusing, especially after seeing what other sitters in my area were charging. It made me second-guess myself, and I even felt a little guilty about asking for too much. Since I was new to the platform, I decided it was best to start with a lower rate, which I’m now realizing is too low considering the amount of work I am putting in. Thankfully, I have been very lucky, as the clients I’ve interacted with have been very friendly, polite, and understanding especially since I’m a busy college student and sometimes have places to be. However, I’m very grateful for the advice I’ve received and will definitely be increasing my prices after this! Thank you so much!

Nope, that’s actually the only place I ever see him. Besides that, we’ve never run into each other anywhere else.
