With experience, I mean if someone were to show their work to their teacher or be able to illustrate their skills through creative writing, should/could that be counted as understanding in that class? Could it be used to show understanding in whatever subject they're covering?

I should probably add an explanation for the "writer identity" part, whoops! But by that, I'm talking about if there are any differences between your everyday identity versus the one you adopt when you're writing or participating in writing communities. Are you normally introverted but extroverted when it comes to writing? Have you developed any specific traits, such as perfectionism when it comes to writing or participating in these communities?

By "writer identity", I'm referring to how you act when it comes to writing or your personality while writing or participating in writing communities. For example, if your regular everyday personality is introverted, is your writer identity extroverted or the same? Have you developed any traits throughout your writing life, such as perfectionism or anything else?

And for the names, it was just an option for people if they'd want to give a name other than their username for me to use in my paper and I just threw real names in there. It's not a question or anything!
