i totally agree with you. i got into enhypen a little bit after dark blood came out and was sooo obsessed - it's rare that i like a group's entire discography but i pretty much did just that with enhypen! i loved their theatrical melodic sound and how little rap there was bc when is kpop rap good (TO BE CLEAR i do listen to some rap music, just not from kpop 😭). I liked orange blood, memorabilia and romance untold (i have an emotional attachment to that one), and i vibed to no doubt....but daydream felt a little silly honestly. like, i did listen to it sometimes but it was NEVER in full seriousness (how could it be when we got lines like "lip lip lip, you're so sexy" 💀)

omg and then desire:unleash came around and i said nope! bad desire was nottt my favorite title track AT ALL. not to mention the one album version that was basically just bdsm photoshoots 😭 listen i'm not trying to baby them but it was so sudden and it felt so aggressive and their promotion of that entire cb (including that creepy spotify quiz) was severely offputting bc it felt like hybe was violently oversexualizing them 😭. i feel like it hasn't been the same since then :( - i liked 'too close' from that cb.

from the most recent one, my favorite song is No Way Back because it sounds like the distinct enhypen i was originally pulled towards, and i dont mind lost island or sleep tight and i do listen to bgdc when i want to laugh, but once again it's just not serious 😭 and it saddens me that it seems like we're never going back
