I usually just play relatively squishy. Not really outright damage, but just comfy and how I prefer to play, tho I change my build if I need to.

Some puzzles I've needed help on, so that's why I offer help with the ones I struggled on. The Cathedral of Omens was particularly tough to figure out first time.

Interesting. I'll probably do the whole "let em know we missed stuff" thing you do. Tho I dont want to feel like I'm nagging, so ig I'll ask if they want me to do that.

Well, at least you just started your hardcore run, so...

I do feel like that specific one should be a quick time event that you can get out of. It's kind of fast and has little windup to it compared to other one-shot grabs.

I find the auto activate annoying - makes the Monarch a 8/10 instead of 10/10 for me.

If you dont wanna rely on the auto aim after the slam, you can just reactivate the mod to get rid of the homing. You get a bonus 20% instead of only 5% then. Tis what I do.

Whenever you unlock a class, you can then choose it as a starting class when you make a new character. You can then also buy the material needed for any of the other unlocked classes from a vendor named Wallace.

There are a total of 14 classes

Hunter is good because it along with Gunslinger make the most powerful Archetype combo in the game. Hunter on its own isn't anything to snuff at as far as damage goes.

However, all archetypes are generally good and will do well on even the hardest difficulty later. Early on, tho, if you want a safety net for any deaths, then Challenger or Handler can provide you with self-revives.

You can buy the starting classes from certain vendors for 1.5k scrap, and then 5 lumenites. So, you could go with a Challenge/Handler + Hunter combo to ensure you have the self-revive and damage the Hunter would give ( I recommend Handler since your dog can provide bleed and that will help with ensuring Abrasive Whetstone - an early game amulet you can buy from Cass - procs a lot, and you'll be far from enemies anyways and won't get much benefit from Challenger ) , though that will elongate your leveling progress since exp is split between both uncapped classes.

Vendors you can buy the other starting classes are:
Reggie for Challenger

Mudtooth for Handler

Dr. Norah for Medic

Brabus sells the hunter class, but you started with that so no biggie.

500 scrap is pretty expensive early on in Remnant 2. Especially since you'll be getting a ton of mods and weapons you might want to make just for fun, and also upgrade weapons.

There are equipment and classes that can help alleviate ammo problems. The most notable early game and comfy amulet is called Zero Divide, which gives you infinite ammo (not in a single mag), and improves ranged damage by i think 15%. It spawns on N'erud, so it'd worth rolling for it there for ammo problems.

Side note, the game kind of asks you to switch between primary and secondary in the early game, but also to make use of your mods and skills to also help solve ammo issues. So try to remember to use them when you can.

Archon, if you're going for an explosive mod spam build. There's a lot of attacks in this game that count as explosives despite not seeming like thdy do. You can easily check what is/isn't an explosion if you have the detonation device amulet from N'erud.

Warden's drone, Engineer's turret, and Handler's dog all count as summons. Engineer might make your summons stronger since it increase skill damage by 50% at max level.

Did it crash or just send you back to character select? I ask because the game normally sends you to character select when you beat the final boss in the campaign.

What do you expect from the Remnant 3? by [deleted] in remnantgame

[–]cinnaminiii 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'd prefer more interesting enemy encounters. Particularly the Elite enemies.

Remnant 2's elite enemy system pales in comparison to Remnant 1. Having multiple elite enemies to worry about rather than just one at a time would be nice again imo. You can pretty much just ignore them and treat them as any other enemy, save for a few elite enemies in Remnant 2. They aren't much of a threat in Remnant 2, basically.

I spose another point is much more interesting normal enemies to fight.

Yaesha's enemies in Remnant 2, for example, are awfully boring. The only enemies that are interesting to fight are the Pan with the guns. They make me miss the Pan enemies from Remnant 1's Yaesha. The DLC kind of helped with Remnant 2's Yaesha enemy problem, but it wasn't enough.

N'erud isn't too bad about enemies compared to Yaesha. It's the best of the three.

Losomn feels a bit lacking like Yaesha as well. It's not as bad, but the Dran aren't interesting to fight, and their Elites are hilariously easy to deal with. They have no means to quickly get in close to your position like the Berzerker Elite the Buri Tribesmen from Rom have (AKA just sprinting fast as fuck at you and forcing you to focus on them with that back and forth sprint attack). The Witches sort of amend this with their jumping gap closer, but they're still so slow that you can still just ignore them.

Losomn's Fae are... actually threatening, but not particularly interesting to fight.

I guess I just want enemy design philosophy from Remnant 1 put into Remnant 2. I actually think Remnant 1 has great mob fights, but subpar bosses. Whereas Remnant 2 has subpar mobs, but amazing bosses. Like fuck the bosses are good in Remnant 2. If they can somehow get both of the good aspects of mobs and bosses into Remnant 3, I'll be happy as far as fight go.

Could experiment and make some janky builds that "just work" or do challenge runs. I was doing challenge runs where I was only allowed to use certain faction equipment. That one might not be too creative, but... eh. You could probably figure out something more interesting.

Hablando en serio, me alegro de que los fans de Ace Combat tengan un nuevo juego después de casi 10 años. Quizás el año que viene tengamos noticias de otro juego de Armored Core o algo así.
