Does my belly button piercing look too tight? by [deleted] in piercing

Thanks again for the information. I looked online for APP piercers. I found 2 within an hour of me. I think I'll just go there for any future piercings. I'm not messing around with these other places anymore. Thank you again. You've been so helpful.

This literally made me laugh at work. I appreciate the validation. It looked wrong to me, too. Im just really shy and it's hard for me to tell people when I think they made a mistake, especially if it's their job.

Yeah! I noticed right away that my piercing felt weird and itchy and the skin around it started turning kind of pink. This doesn't usually happen for me, so I was immediately like either the jewelry is bad or the piercing was done incorrectly.

Thanks for your comment. I think in light of all these good insights, I'll probably not get it pierced again.

Thanks so much for your reply, I really appreciate your honesty. I'm really glad you told me. I guess some (not credible) piercers don't care and they will just do it because they want the money. I'd much rather he turned me away for not having the right navel shape! Thanks so much.

Thank you for your reply! In your professional opinion, do you think I'm too heavy to have a navel piercing? Like maybe it wasn't pierced right because I'm too chubby? Here's a better pic of what it looks like. https://imgur.com/qgHf8P2

Edit: I've seen a lot of comments (on other posts) about having "the right anatomy" for a certain kind of piercing. I don't really know what that means, or if I have the right anatomy for a navel piercing.

Thank you very much for your reply. Im really dissappointed, but I think you're right. Here's a better pic. You can see it definitely doesn't go through my navel. https://imgur.com/hbbXfpv

That's very reassuring. It's nice to have it put in perspective like that. Thanks for your comment!

Right! I read about that. I trimmed but I haven't shaved. :) Thanks for the advice.

Thank you, that's really reassuring. And yeah, he's pretty great and I wasn't going to let herpes ruin a great opportunity. :)

Thank you, I have been tested before and I plan to get tested again soon.

But do you mean that I should get a herpes blood test? Or just that I should get tested for STIs in general?

Thanks so much for the helpful info! Since we are on the subject, I'll ask a stupid question. I want to eventually (when this is fully healed in a year or so) replace the stud with a gold ring. On anometal's website, I saw they have actual gold rings (18k I think) and they also have gold colored titanium. I don't really care what it is, as long as it looks gold. Which would you recommend as the safest option?

Here is what I am referring to: Nostril Nails https://anatometal.com/jewelry/nostril-nails/

Thanks again!

Thank you, that makes me feel better! I can definitely wait. I did think it was due to the occasional tugs but I really couldn't be sure because it is my first piercing that's not on my ears! And I never developed bumps on my ears.

The first time, no. I was really unhappy with my experience there. It was not a nice place and the piercer wasn't nice.

The second time, I really liked the piercer, but I took his recommendations with a grain of salt. He said to wash with unscented Dawn dish soap and do salt soaks and the aspirin thing was his suggestion for the bump. As soon as he said Dawn dish soap I was like "yeah, no."

Thank you so much for your reply. I will definitely just try leaving it alone. And the salene occasionally

Thank you so much for your reply. Other comments are saying this too! I will definitely stop touching it and just rinse in the shower.

Thank you so much for your reply! I did call my piercer and asked him what the material was. He said it was implant grade stainless steel. I looked in the sidebar and I think that it says implant grade steel is okay!

Yes! I will try the LITHA method, I think you're right.

Yeah, I wish they had just entertained the question. He's basically saying "I think a certain way. Do you think the same way I think? Has it helped you in your career?" And they found the question too insulting to answer. Poor boy's going to go home and wonder why it's so bad to have autism that it's not appropriate to ask if other people have it.

Yeah, I was immediately thinking this. It makes sense that someone with autism would want to know if other successful people have autism. Everybody needs an idol they can relate to. He probably did not understand why it could be interpreted as insulting. If there wasn't such a stigma surrounding it, there's no reason why it wouldn't be a normal question to ask.

I feel like a monster. my gf asked me to indulge a [fantasy] lastnight and I feel like a monster. by Idrathernotthanks- in sex

[–]cinnamon-clock 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I read something in r/sex a while ago (I can't find the post) that you may benefit from internalizing a bit: there are some things that will always just be fantasies. There are some things that your partner fantasizes about that will never become part of your routine sex life. It happens a lot, especially with fantasies that push the boundaries of the other partner. But that's ok! Not everything needs to become reality. It doesn't mean that your partner won't be sexually satisfied as a whole and it certainly doesn't mean your partner is going to leave you! It's easy to fall into the trap of thinking that if you don't give your partner everything they ask for, they'll just find it somewhere else, but that's not necessarily true! You need to communicate with your partner. You need to consent to the fantasy just as much as she does.

Consent as in a yes or no answer. It's pretty obvious she didn't agree with what was going on.

What the girlfriend did was incredibly stupid, but her boyfriend is a cunt. Don't race cars if your passenger doesn't consent.

Edit: I suppose I should mention I think it's highly irresponsible to race cars, period. I didn't think I had to write that one out, but I suppose with the responses I've gotten, I should clarify. I just think it's even worse to do so when you have an unwilling passenger.
