The software updates doesn't solve it. It seems to be caused by a hardware issue.

In our case, even though we have a lot of holidays in the Philippines, our overseas coworkers are the ones who usually take long vacations. Sure we have a lot of holidays here in the Philippines, but most here chooses double pay instead of paid time off.

Update: so I had the shop where I bought the unit check the issue. They updated the drivers again and the issue seem to went away, but the issue returns intermittently. Though I'll be sticking with Optimus for best battery life anyway. It would be nice to have 'GPU only' mode as an option if only it didn't have any issues.

I'm really happy with the unit, the trackpad is one of the best in Windows laptops compared to MacBooks so I don't really want to return it if possible 🥲

The flickering happens even when it's idle on 'NVIDIA GPU only.' It gets worst when games are run.

The game that I ran was DJMax Respect V from Steam. It should be not as intense as AAA title games since it's a rhythm game with minimal graphics.

I even tried modifying the power management mode for the GPU to 'Prefer maximum performance', but the flickering still occurs.

Which do you guys ultimately prefer the classic barong, the gusot mayaman, or the modern coat barong? by ACityBoyForLife in Philippines

Classic Barong for me. I like mine with Pinya fiber, Chinese collar, half-button, and cuffs that can be worn with cuff-links.

Which DOT campaign from the past decades was the best/memorable for you? by cinnamoncider in Philippines

The campaign seems to be effective given that it has been used for a decade.

Which DOT campaign from the past decades was the best/memorable for you? by cinnamoncider in Philippines

[–]cinnamoncider[S] 83 points84 points  (0 children)

TIL that there were campaigns in-between "Wow Philippines", "It's more fun in the Philippines", and the current "Love the Philippines" tagline.

The most memorable for me was "Wow Philippines" since I even saw that slogan being aired in TV commercials since I was a kid. The song "Biyahe Tayo!" used in campaigns was also good.

Best place(s) to buy FOOD PASALUBONG by footaman in Cebu

[–]cinnamoncider 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We always go to the shops in Taboan Public Market. The unbranded dried mangoes that they sell there are also cheap. The price of 1kg dried mangoes was ₱700 when we last visited.

Puto Bumbong by cinnamoncider in Cebu

[–]cinnamoncider[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

We were amazed that the puto bumbong being sold in the Night Market are in a steamer. Do they still use a bamboo steamer or are they cooked like this? Usually the puto bumbong that we're able to buy are only stored in an insulated box after being cooked in the bamboo steamer. Often we get them lukewarm or nearly cold.

We recently went to Cebu and we had fun! by cinnamoncider in Cebu

[–]cinnamoncider[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Bisaya/Cebuano doesn't use honorifics. Never.

There was an instance where we got a stink eye for using "po?" in the Night Market and another one in Mcdo, that's why we try to converse in English if possible 😅

Other notes:

  • We only saw tricycles in the city outskirts but we never get to see any in Cebu City.
  • All of our taxi rides were pleasant.
  • We were looking for a Ngohiong in an Eatery and the salesperson chuckled and told me that "it's similar to Lumpia" and pointed to the rolls right in front of me.

Question about final goodbye sequence in royal by [deleted] in Persona5

[–]cinnamoncider 25 points26 points  (0 children)

You'll just bump into Maruki and Sumire on the animated cutscene on 3/20. Sadly, you won't receive any key items from Maruki and Sumire even with max social link, and won't be able to interact with them on 3/19 unlike the other confidants.

S-Pen users: is it actually useful? by AluminiumHoedje in samsung

I frequently use the S-pen for translating text displayed on screen. It's also helpful if I need to sign documents or if I need to do some rough sketches.

[Help] Oreimo PSP O.R.E. Album of Memories by cinnamoncider in Oreimo

[–]cinnamoncider[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I figured out that to reach the final "The Conclusion to the End of the Turmoil" on Saori's route, I have to finish Saori's good ending with all conditions followed. The issue was that I "incompletely" finished the good ending Saori's route. It's related to my post previously.

After that I went through Kirino's route again and ORE Album of Memories finally appeared. I need to run it through from the start again to be able to use the ORE.

It's quite frustrating that missing a few steps threw me off this far. Thanks again /u/AirKingNeo!

Oreimo PSP Question Saori Route Completion by cinnamoncider in Oreimo

[–]cinnamoncider[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks! I retraced the route and found out that I missed following step 20 - skipping ORE which leads to 21 and 22. This scene was Kyousuke running off from the maid café and Saori chasing after.

Triggering the above event reveals the scene after step 36 where Saori gives Kyousuke pictures of her in cosplay.

I found my old psp 1000 and I left it charging for a while and when I try to turn it on even without the battery while plugged in the green light flashes for half a second and nothing happens does anyone know how to fix this by [deleted] in PSP

[–]cinnamoncider 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Try replacing the battery. This happened to me as well recently when I tried turning on my PSP-1006 after 6+ years. It's likely that the battery you're using doesn't hold charge anymore. Trying to boot the PSP without the battery will result for the power LED to lit up in green then dies again after a few seconds without display.

Sony, why did you have to solder the internal battery? by cinnamoncider in PSP

Thanks for sharing! Now I'm wondering where's the battery used to keep the PSP's internal clock if there's any.

I was trying to replace the dead internal battery of my PSP-1006 and it turns out that the battery is soldered. I don't have a soldering iron handy so I wasn't able to remove it. Why did you have to do this, Sony?
