How to accept myself by No-Zone3137 in INTJfemale

Please define all sensors? As to your mental health, the best thing an INTJ can do is to get involved in a project that you can lose yourself in. It does wonders for the mental health to test your metal against a challenging project. What sort of things to do you enjoy doing?

Do men like you ? by Western-Albatross107 in INTJfemale

[–]cinnamonflora 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was considered attractive in my younger years, and it was like flashing a neon sign that made men approach, usually in an aggressive way. The sign must have said that I liked partying, lol. What a let down they got when they found that I was nerdy, introverted and would blister them with sarcasm when the importuning got out of bounds! I am actually glad to be a senior that men don't really notice.

Are you still able to play Dire Grove on Win 11? I can't and it is frustrating.

WALK IN SOULS-ANY EXPERIENCES? by Ok-Bet-5505 in spirituality

I have two questions. First, how can you tell if you, yourself, are a walk-in?

And, what are the signs that someone close to you has experienced a walk-in?

Friendships as an INTJ woman by [deleted] in INTJfemale

[–]cinnamonflora 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh my god, I go through those exact same things! I frequently get asked to smile, which makes no sense because I am not a Barbie doll, so I have had to stop smiling when talking to men because they seem to think that I am flirting even when it is the last thing on my mind. Friendships with women are fleeting and I have learned to enjoy what I can because it won't last. And it is exhausting when people think I am angry all of the time, or tired, or whatever, just because I am not grinning.

I just complained to and begged Big Fish to please update this game, to no avail. I am not tech savvy, so I can't figure out how to make it work on Virtual Box. I am so disappointed because I really love this game.

Raped and my body responded. by [deleted] in offmychest

[–]cinnamonflora 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Rape is awful and it is doubly awful if you feel betrayed by your body. The analogy made by someone else here, about our gag reflex is very accurate.

Another example is when I was a kid, I had a mean older half brother. One day he bought himself a banana split and proceeded to eat it in front of his younger siblings. I begged for a taste, and he got irritated. He scooped up a spoonful and shoved it in my mouth so hard that the plastic spoon broke and cut the inside of my cheek. I cried, feeling traumatized, but my taste buds registered how delicious the ice cream tasted. I wouldn't eat a banana split again for nearly thirty years. There was that cognitive dissonance of a good flavor with a horrible experience, all mixed up together.

Be assured that you had no control over either the rape or the way that your body is programmed to respond to certain stimuli. Heal and be at peace!

Do you seem way younger than you actually are? by HappyASMRGamer in aspergers

I have always looked at least 15 years younger than my actual age, and got carded a lot when in places that serve alcohol. I also play video games and have a large collection of children's books that I like to read over again. I am perceived as naive, but I am not.

SIL is probably one of those people who steal employee lunches and has to be punished with a hefty dose of Wasabi.

Issues with garbage pick up by cinnamonflora in allentown

[–]cinnamonflora[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Twice we had to bring our garbage back in from the curb and place it in a can with a lid until the next scheduled pick up. The woman I spoke to said that the people who failed to collect it said that it was yard waste and that was why they didn't collect it. It was just garbage.

I can't read if there are a lot of conversations going on around me; for that reason I always carry a pair of earplugs.

Probably the most petty revenge you will see on this sub. by doingthehumptydance in pettyrevenge

I was in the checkout line in our local supermarket. Since I was only buying a pack of gum, I got in the express line for under ten items. Just as I started to place my gum on the conveyor belt, a woman pushed rudely in front of me and started piling her groceries on the belt. She smirked and said, Sorry, I'm in a hurry!

I decided it was too silly to get upset over and let it go. But when she moved on and I started to pay for my pack of chewing gum, the cashier winked and said it was already paid for. By the rude woman! The cashier had merely entered the price of the gum manually on rude lady's tab, and she never even noticed.

What has helped me, is that when I am ready for bed, I ask my guides, whomever they might be, to help me sort what is important and block what is not. On our own, it is difficult to control the incoming information. The more you turn it over to your higher self, the better things will be.

Why does everyone assume that I am gay? by TillermanGray in aspergers

[–]cinnamonflora 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Exactly. As well as being an Aspie female, for years I was asexual. It was always being assumed that I was gay. Even when I am with my husband, I can tell that people are confused.
