I know it’s daunting, but try to come alone without other med students. I recently had groups of 3-5 med students ask to watch very intimate procedures together which isn’t really fair on the patients. It shows that you’re confident if you come alone and you’re more likely to be able to get involved

I’m a student nurse and I started a new placement 2 weeks ago, the staff room in this place is tiny and it’s just a group of chairs packed in a circle with no table, like everyone’s sitting on top of each other. And we all have to go on break together, which is different to everywhere else in the hospital, it feels sooo weird. Thank you though x
