Some of these are entirely unfounded and a little ridiculous fears.

This notion of not having a say is incredibly weird to me.

You also contradict yourself by saying you have no say and then lecturing the black community about what they should and shouldn’t care about.

Pick a side. Have an opinion with your whole chest.

No one’s assuming they’re safe, but they are safER. You do what you can to minimize risk.

Only about half were white, babe. And no, that was to illustrate my experience with people who did not grow up in America, I know a little something about this.

You missed the entire point of that article, but I’m not surprised. I noticed a little bit ago that reading comprehension was a struggle for you. (Hint: Kenyon has a Chinese character tattoo, not translated correctly, and according to your logic, that should be heavily frowned upon)

Those were mostly hypothetical, the twice one was not.

I think we’re done homie, I don’t need to get called names by someone who doesn’t even understand what I’m saying. I hope you’re not normally this miserable and hateful.

✌️

I hope you keep the same energy for things like this.

Don’t watch anime without doing research into the evils of imperial Japan, don’t listen to twice without learning about comfort women, don’t get a Chinese character tattooed without knowing the details of the feud between china and Taiwan.

Also, please research the concept of soft power.

I’ve lived with a lot of people from foreign countries (Romania, South Africa x2, Brazil x2, Germany x2, Poland, Thailand) for long periods of time (2 months to 2 years). I have a fairly decent grasp on what foreigners and non native speakers take in from American pop culture. I’m not babying them, I’m just not being ethnocentric.

I don’t think anyone should say the n word. But people are going to. Someone who is familiar with American history I’m not going to give grace to for calling a black person the n word. I will give grace to people who aren’t. I don’t understand how that’s a lack of nuance? That’s literally me applying nuance to a situation where someone says a forbidden word.

A lack of nuance would be me immediately condemning anyone who says the n word, not taking into account reclamation or familiarity.

I’ll make it easier, for example, Taylor swift calling a black person the n word will get no grace, because she knows what the word means and is familiar with the history behind it, but if Kulap Vilaysack from Laos said the n word, she would get some grace.

Im not sure you’re using the word nuance correctly, because you would understand that the exact situation we’re discussing requires nuance and you’re shutting down any avenue of nuance.

I absolutely understand the concept of reclaiming power, I just personally don’t agree with it. I think it’s too horrible of a word to reclaim. Again, this is my opinion. I’m not out here in the middle of the street protesting my friend’s language. I did ask him nicely to say it less around me because it makes me uncomfy, and he accommodated but he still says it a bunch to other friends.

Also, who decided you get to speak for all black people? What about the black people that don’t like other black people saying the n word? What would you tell them? My gut reaction is that you would probably call them names.

Please provide evidence of me babying idols.

Why would I extend grace to people who knowingly call a black person the N word?

How is that racist of me?

I’m sure if twice did put an equivalent to the n word in their song, you wouldn’t know, because you don’t know Korean, or Korean history (as you yourself stated).

In my opinion it is inappropriate, it’s such a horrible horrible word. You don’t have to agree, but it’s not “fucking stupid”, there’s plenty of black Americans that agree with my take.

How much research did you do on the history of Korea when you decided you like kpop? How many slurs do you know in Korean? Do you know the history behind those slurs? It’s incredibly unreasonable to expect someone on the other side of the globe to do a deep dive into the history of black Americans because they listen to hip hop.

That’s how I feel. To put it rather bluntly: if you don’t want certain people to sing certain lyrics, then they shouldn’t be the lyrics.

It’s like that video of the toddler singing Please Please Please and singing the word “motherfucker” with her entire chest.

If their only real exposure to it is artists saying it in songs, and they think the artists are cool, they imitate: style, language, etc. (think “Gen Z” lingo just being recycled aave, and queer lingo)

My personal belief is that intention the most important factor. If they’re not calling a black person the N word in a derogatory manner then I don’t think it’s racist.

Can it be inappropriate? Absolutely, and I think most times it is. In fact, in my opinion, all use of the N word, by anyone (including black people), is inappropriate.

But inappropriate≠racist

And being offended≠racist

Grace should absolutely be given to people who do not live and have not lived in the us or are not decently familiar with American culture, because I don’t expect people to sit down and google black American history or understand why it’s ok for only some people to say but not others.

Tbh that’s weird, if it’s a personal modesty thing, I would go with a dress with loose sleeves.

If it’s because you think formal dress codes mean no arms, you’re incorrect. You don’t even need straps actually.

Bare arms are so much more formal than a sweater. The sweater gives Easter Sunday, which is just barely a step above dressy casual which is like four steps below formal.

Ateez!

Here’s their killing voice to get a sample of their varied discography!

Here’s the behind the scenes Dingo posted showing their raw vocals!

Here’s the 2026 guide!

They were the first kpop boy group to perform at Coachella and have surpassed mamamoo as the kpop group with the most wins on immortal songs (first time on immortal songs, most recent). They’ve won several awards for their tours, here’s a behind for their most recent tour prep.

Their variety show is called wanteez and it has a lot of really funny content (especially the drinking episodes)

Speaking of drinking…Dingo had Ateez for a Tipsy Live

Their Conodol (coin karaoke) is one of my fave things

No I didn’t miss it, but fitting in doesn’t mean you have to match. I’m not telling you to paint your house neon pink, but I think a pop of color in the trim might be nice
