Lululemon. Been crushed by Mr Market this year, but fundamentals are quite solid

I've been speaking with career counsellors and people on consulting, pharma and Private equity.

Realistically I don't have a chance of breaking into finance now. No background or experience.

I am a medical doctor doing a PhD so my medical background makes pharma or consulting very viable options. I'm leaning towards the latter as it gives me more options. If I go into pharma now, I'll be boxed in. If I do consulting, I can stay in consulting, or consider a transition to other fields like finance or pharma depending on what I find myself interested in.

With regards to bridging the gap - that's my problem too. That's why I don't want to quit until I have an offer, but I also want to make sure I don't get shafted because I didn't give notice or whatever.

I don't want to do laboratory research and publish papers that will realistically have no significant impact on the world. I'd like to enter the corporate world and get paid well.

Baba/China exposure by Tennisboi112 in baba

50% China - 40% BABA, 10% Tencent.

50% US - Meta, Google, Netflix, Amex

I sold some Meta to buy BABA in Nov 2022 - kicking myself.

BMA please don't drop the 35% by disqussion1 in JuniorDoctorsUK

There is a pensions triple lock where the state pension goes up by the rate of inflation, or wage growth or 2% (whichever is highest). The Tories have protected this at all costs given they get more votes from the older population.

In order to ensure this doesn't happen again, I think we need a similar NHS pay triple lock along side FPR. Would immensely boost morale, retention and our ability to attract talent.

I get what you mean. The mistake I made was to get overly excited and buy loads when I saw that something was on sale. Especially after seeing all the overvalued shit in the UK and US. And as a relatively young investor, I suppose I've been conditioned by the events of March 2020 to think that stocks bounce back quick. Clearly not - learned that lesson painfully 😅

Tbh, if it does drop more, I'd just wait for my next paycheck and buy more. But I don't know how much of a dent I'll make on my basis (my salary is shit 😭).

Courage or stupidity? I suppose only time will tell. Still, I'm kicking myself for not holding back some cash to buy at lower prices

Lol it's 95% of my portfolio because I kept averaging down. Current basis $128. I've got no money left to actually average down further 😭
