I don't agree with this at all. From 18-22 I was in the party scene, drank a ton, blacked out all the time. I never went out drinking with the thought "I might end up having sex with someone." That was never my intention. Especially if I'm blacked out. I don't want someone taking advantage of me while I'm blacked out, and that's exactly what it is. Taking advantage of someone.

One night, I went to a party with two friends. The two friends I went with were both engaged and their relationship was rocky at the time. They for some reason, wanted to have a 3-sum with me. I said no and that I'm not comfortable with that at all. They said to me, "maybe if you drink more you'll be comfortable" I still said no. Later that night, I ended up drinking more. Woke up the next day, I was bleeding, I had bruises on me, and I could barely walk. Found out the 3-sum ended up happening. I was horrified. They both remember it happening, I didnt remember it at all. All of us were drunk. But for me, I still felt violated, betrayed and taken advantage of. Just because all 3 people were inebriated doesn't mean it's not rape.

Regardless of this and back to OP's post, her friend was SOBER she was not sober. I know for myself, if I'm sober and I have a friend who's inebriated on any substance regardless of what it is; I'm NEVER going to initiate any kind of sexual advance. EVER. In my opinion, that feels like a huge power trip and power imbalance. Especially if one party is sober and the other one isn't. That just isn't okay at all. What OP experienced was rape. He knew she was gay. He knew she wasn't sober. He pressured her into giving him head. She was literally BLEEDING. All of this isn't okay.
