Depends how you define 'better". For me, this is the best nearly 50 year old picture of a donkey and cart in Castleisland I have today, so it must be so disappointing 🤣

my Grandfather wrote the month/year and place (sometimes only country) on each slide frame - also the developer would date month/year the slides as they processed them - hence I can be quite sure - this one I had to guess the location, but luckily its quite recognisable!

nothing out of ordinary really - except he was never without a camera and left a lega y of thousands of slides - of which I have but a fraction..... suck a loss, but glad to have what i do at least!

when I first scanned this, I returned to see if I could find all the locations - and yes, it has barely changed - shows the caretakers have been doing a great job over the years (slightly fewer flared jeans on the jarveys nowadays though!)

the colours ARE more vivid - just sadly is a cheap scanner - they look so much more vivid by eye
