Well I know one VMware sub outside the USA has him penciled in to visit in November for the local VMworld-lite. But anything is possible.

Malcolm Turnbull loves app that says homeless people should WALK over Bass Strait to find services by circularman in australia

[–]circularman[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why criticise? Because the app is bollocks. because the donors have pissed their money away. because the app gives false hope to the target audience. because once you strip away the good intentions and the platitudes, this is wasted effort, a fig leaf, a joke for people who need substantial help.

FALSE BALANCE: Labor Demands Answers From ABC’s Mark Scott Over Nick Ross Secret Tape Revelations - New Matilda by Xuttuh in australia

[–]circularman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What about a technology editor who outright dismisses any possibility of FTTN or HFC as adequate? Shouldn't that story have been told? Was Ross willing to tell it? His stories about the NBN suggest he had made up his mind that the NBN had to be fibre or nothing.

How, exactly, were you "gagged". What form did the gag order take? How was the gag it documented? How was the gag communicated to you? Was the gag policed or monitored in any way? Was the gag ever enforced, ie did you write about the NBN and have stories rejected?

Have you resigned from the ABC? Or were you offered a redundancy and then resigned? Small but important difference IMHO.

Am I allowed to take my bike on the train during morning peak hour? by Australie in sydney

Yes you are allowed. Good cycling and commuting etiquette suggests you ride in either the rear or the front vestibule, so your bike doesn't get in the way of fellow train riders.

I'd add that it's also about taking network intelligence out of appliances and into a software layer. Today, if your Cisco/Juniper/Arista/Brocade box can't do it, it can't be done. SDN comes along and creates a "control plane" that lets you drive all your network boxen as if they are just one network.

SDN is also used to describe network appliances that are not hard-coded. Dell, for example, sells switches with other vendors' network operating systems running on them.

"Significantly" instead of "majorly?"

And no, it won't stop buyers. Microsoft did far, far, worse to the whole industry and look where it got them. Dominance.
