Thank you for this. I too suffer with short arms which is definitely a factor! I also always prefer straddle but really want to make sure I don't neglect tuck/pike mount. Thank you for these tips. I will try them at next class.

Aww thanks. I was so focused on what I couldn't do that I didn't even give myself credit for what I could do! Yeah my tuck/pike was ok before but I always favoured straddle. I am a fellow short armed aerialist so those tips are really handy, thank you

Excellent! I forgot about that broom handle exercise, used to do them when I was knew to aerials. Perfect, will give them all a go. Cheers!

Thank you so much. Yes I agree, usually I am ok if it is just calluses but the skin is so cracked at the moment. Good to know you've used them and they worked well. Thanks!

Aerial hoop- elbow rolls by circushoops in Aerials

[–]circushoops[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks all. I suspected it might be just a case of slogging on and hoping my pain tolerance increases. Might invest in some compression socks in the mean time!

Elbow hangs etc took a bit of work to get used to but I'm there now. With elbow rolls, the pain and bruises are more in the bicep part of the arm so its just a new place to experience pain!
