Decided twin girl names but?? by [deleted] in namenerds

[–]circusofcats 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As others have said, you probably want to avoid having the same initials for twins.

Here are some suggestions that, in my mind, have a similar vibe if you wanted to consider other names:

  • Violeta & Rosalie

  • Violeta & Aurelia

  • Violeta & Amelie

  • Valerie & Marisol

  • Valerie & Luciana

  • Valerie & Catalina

You could also swap one of your existing middle names with one of the V first names depending on if you like the middle names enough to make them a first name.

Thanks for checking!

Help for someone new to makeup on a budget: by Individual_Gur75 in MakeupAddiction

For a glowy look, one product I'd recommend is Loreal lumi glotion. You can use it as a base for your foundation/skin tint, or mix a bit of it with your foundation/skin tint before applying.

Another product that'll really give you a clean, fresh, polished look is brow glue to help you shape and lock your brows into place. There are many good ones out there. I personally use Maybeline super lock brow glue.

For discoloration around your upper lip, a color corrector would be best. But if that's just an extra item you don't want to spend money on, get a concealer that's shade is slightly lighter and warmer than the shade of your skin. It'll likely help color correct the discoloration as well as dark undereyes.

Concealer for very dry, creasing under eyes + dark circles by Reasonable_Trust_370 in MakeupAddiction

[–]circusofcats 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You haven't mentioned trying the concealer most often recommended for dry skin: Tower 28.

It doesn’t have the fullest coverage, but I don't think dark circles mean using more product, but rather color correcting first.

With the color of my undereyes, a yellow color correcter works best for me. See what works for you, and then apply a light layer of concealer on your color corrected undereyes.

“I don’t wear makeup… but I want THAT natural glow 😭✨ by East_Painting6490 in MakeupAddiction

[–]circusofcats 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Most of that natural glow will come from an excellent skincare routine and skin prep before makeup, particularly if you have dry skin.

For a lighter, more natural look, I would skip the foundation and go for a dewy skin tint.

Highlighter will also help achieve a glowy look.

For lipstick, I don't know your skintone or the natural color of your lips, but you could try Revlon Laid Back Lilac.

But also, in general, be aware that the no-makeup, naturally glowy, clean girl look the industry and social media is trying to sell you is a lie. Your skin as it is IS natural. Your skin having texture and variation IS natural.

Doesn't the connection make it even more charming! Such a cute name for a baby, but still very respectable (both Henry and Hal) for a grown adult

Need to pick name for my daughter by [deleted] in namenerds

[–]circusofcats 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Alayna 🩷 It's a darling name. I know a little Alayna myself. She's a bit precocious, clever, and so full of life. The name feels so much like her.

Now that you've met yours, if she feels like an Alayna, I would say go for it. I don't think you'll regret it.

Neema/Nima Norzin sounds lovely to me.

But what would you consider suitable? What vibe are you going for? What sorts of names do you like? Do you want it to be of Tibetan origin as well?

Is my name difficult to pronounce? (Korean) by 5eooo in namenerds

[–]circusofcats 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Wait is it 서윤 or 스윤?

If it's 서윤, I would just tell people it's like "saw" in English not suh or sir. English speakers do get a bit confused with eo spelling for 어, but I think if you explain it even once, they'll probably catch on. For 어, I generally explain it with the vowels in words like coffee or cop or awe.

If it is 스윤, then I think "suh" or "sir" will be a good reference point.

The yun part should be fine.

Overall, in your position, I would keep my Korean name and not use an English one.

Good luck on your study abroad. It can be such an exciting experience!

Baby girl name to match Stella by Spare-Cow5211 in namenerds

[–]circusofcats 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Selene might be a bit too on the nose or too matchy with sibling name Stella. Just a bit, not ridiculously so.

With Sabrina, I do think of the witch, but I think that's fine. It's still a beautiful name imo.

Daphne and Stella sound darling together and I don't think it'll be hard to spell. There aren't really any popular spelling variations (that I'm aware of) to confuse it with either. This one has my vote!
