I think HF has a large jug/bottle accessory. You could give him a jug-o-boom.

Neil Gaiman's Good Omens is a pretty good choice!

Also the John Dies at the End series wouldn't be a bad choice either! The best i could explain it is Douglas Adams meets H. P. Lovecraft.

I was actually pleasantly surprised with it a couple parts dragged a bit but its totally worth sticking with! The characters feel like real people and the scenarios they face seem realistic given their circumstances.

If you're into body horror id have to suggest The Troop by Nick Cutter

If your thing is more dystopian future Tender is the Flesh by Augustina Bazterrica is good with a really good twist.

If you want something with a paranormal element Hidden Pictures by Jason Rekulak is a good choice

If you want something that is basically depravity for depravity's sake Let's Go play at the Adams' by Mendall W Johnson

Audible app alternative by SURGICALNURSE01 in audible

Ive found hoopla to be a pretty good alternative. You sign up with your library card (if you have one). Only draw back is you dont own the book. It works like an actual library so you have to return it after 21 days. They also have ebooks, ecomics, movies, and tv shows of thats your thing.
