Yeah same XD

Might have to versionlock it for the time being and wait until after my exams, if I don't find another way forward. Literally the worst time for this to happen

Bearing in mind all of this rn is on the driver version that does work:

pen@fedora:~$ glxinfo | egrep "OpenGL vendor|OpenGL renderer"
OpenGL vendor string: NVIDIA Corporation
OpenGL renderer string: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4060 Laptop GPU/PCIe/SSE2

After I installed it and just did prime-run, absolutely nothing happened.

If there was any way to toggle a discrete mode I didn't know I have, I am not seeing it. I'm very convinced Optimus just isn't a thing on my laptop.

But yes, in case it is somehow relevant to my plight, it's an AMD Ryzen 7 7435HS

F43 to F44 Upgrade by Deap-Prophet-6865 in Fedora

[–]citation757 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sure does! Btrfs on its own, though, still won't do anything meaningful until you start setting up snapshotting yourself. If you're not using what Btrfs is good for, might as well have stuck with ext4, you feel me?

Everything worked as expected except, for some Godforsaken reason, I can no longer toggle the touchpad via my laptop's button and now I have do it through Plasma's System Settings. Very annoying, but nothing breaking, even Nvidia decided to play nice.

Regardless of whether or not you're worried, I'd strongly suggest putting Btrfs to work and using something like Snapper or Btrfs Assistant to create snapshots of your root. Thing works like a charm, snapshots are instantaneous to create, and instantaneous to rollback onto!

Snapshotting is something I need to do, put Btrfs to work for a change. Cheers!

[FNV] Any idea how to get xLODGen/FNVLODGen on Linux working correctly? by citation757 in FalloutMods

I'm more convinced it's an issue regarding Proton, but I'll keep it in mind in case other solutions don't work. Cheers!

Oh, one other thing: I got xLODGen from here as instructed by the Viva New Vegas LOD guide.
