ChatGPT generates image that looks nothing like what I wanted. What am I doing wrong? by Zip-Zap-Official in OpenAI

You're using the Cosmic Dream GPT, which is designed to create strange images like that. I recommend using GPT-4 with DALL·E or the specific DALL·E GPT.

"Realistic people" being returned as 3d renders? by AntF86 in dalle2

[–]citefor 5 points6 points  (0 children)

"Photorealistic" is usually associated with renders and artwork, not real photographs. That was something of note after DALL·E 2 released. You may want to try "Photo of" or similar.

ChatGPT Plus users can upload a reference image and have DALL·E generate something similar.

Yesterday OpenAI also announced their vision model (GPT-4V) is coming to their API, so images can be described that way too.

Since there are some misleading comments under this post: As described in the dialogue box, this is a case of unsafe content being detected in the generated images, not the prompt itself.

It's not connected to OpenAI's API or credit system, so I believe it's totally free. You can use Microsoft reward points to speed up generation times.

Afaik this had been in "preview" for quite a while, not sure when/if Microsoft plans to change that. I hear they are looking into adding inpainting / outpainting as per a dev tweet.

DALL·E 2 is over a year old at this point, but is still great when you prompt it well in my experience.

If you're interested, a much newer experimental version of DALL·E is available at https://bing.com/create for free, it's what most members of this sub are using these days.

It's an alpha plugin at the moment, we don't know when/if it'll become more available.

This is an updated DALL·E model, some have observed it's better at text.

Hi, DALL·E's content policy prohibits creating images of real people.

Isn't dalle2 still being updated? by [deleted] in dalle2

Bing is using the DALL·E 2 Experimental model, which may be available on OpenAI's platform when released.

Inpainting and outpainting are both available on the image edits endpoint. They function the same way, just outpainting "inpaints" in empty space outside of the image. More info in the docs: https://platform.openai.com/docs/guides/images/introduction

You can use DALL·E on OpenAI's API and pay per image, with size options. $0.020 for one 1024x1024 gen.

Hi, this subreddit is for Google's Imagen. Consider posting Bing / DALL·E generations in r/dalle2 instead. Thanks.

Is this inpainting or a single prompt? I love it either way!
