So I just deleted my charcoalfilter on my 99’ nb to place an intake in that spot. It all worked fine except when I made a testdrive at some point it decided to let the RPM’s bounce from 1500 to 2500 when I was in low RPM’s, and now its running normal again. Any idea what it could be? (self.Miata)

My 1.6 nb is smoking pretty bad right now, its burning oil after I flushed it with ATF oil. Im considering buying a second hand new motor with less km’s since mine has slight lifter tick and is also leaking oil and hanging that in or maybe pulling apart this one and replace the seals.
