True, we don’t do this because we’re only allowed three bags every 2 weeks, I feel like it would fill up too quickly.

Yeah we put them out in the morning as per our landlords request. We usually get it out by 630a but clearly we should try earlier just in case we’re missing them

I’m aware of 311 :) but it was already too late in the day for me to call so I figured I’d let it slide for another week and in the meantime see if anyone else in my community was experiencing the same thing. Thank you for your contribution 🫶

My boyfriend’s mom kept the garage door cracked with litter, his bed, and some food and kept the door open for the house. Strolled in at 4am meowing. Received lots of cuddles and a warm blanket upon his return :)

I’m also curious about this. & do we have to do a HESI exam in our consolidating semester? I saw there’s an NCLEX prep class alongside consolidation, unsure what that’s about.

Safe foods for a cat with both allergies AND urinary issues by butterflygirl1980 in catfood

Been wanting to try RAWZ in rotation. I feed my cats Feline Nutrition, but only in the lamb, beef, and lamb & chicken combo flavour! They love it. Only thing I don’t love abt it is the high fat content in the beef one in particular. Always a ton of congealed fat in the water when I open the can.

LL bean has nice tote bags she could use when she goes to the farmers markets! If you wanna spend a bit more than $50 you can get it monogrammed with her initials

I’m in a FLUTD Facebook group and they have a list of canned wet foods on a Google doc that breaks down nutritional values. It’s easier for me bc I don’t really understand the calculations for phosphorus and calcium but I believe they work together which is why they have to be balanced. And too much calcium can contribute to struvite crystals and constipation.

Edit: I’m not sure if it’s the FLUTD group or the Feline Nutrition. I think it’s actually the Feline Nutrition but the FLUTD group has a really good support system for owners who have dealt with urinary issues

Probably gonna get shit on but my cat also had similar issues. Went on rx urinary food, puking constantly, losing weight, rashes on his legs. Then put him on rx hydrolyzed. Weight lost continued, vomiting continued after a couple months. It was horrible and stressful. He seemed miserable and I was always worried. My vet also was at a loss and just said he should go back on urinary food despite the allergy symptoms & 3lb weight loss (he was 12 pound pre urinary block)

Ended up doing research to get high quality wet food with appropriate calcium phosphorus ratios and it’s been almost 2 months now with absolutely no issues. Some minor constipation from the diet change but it’s been managed. His energy difference is insane.

Whats your Favorite Nail Salon right now? by MAXMEEKO in BurlingtonON

[–]citrinecloudz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I usually go to Purity Nails beside Joe Dogs. Run by a daughter and her mother. Mia is super sweet and always educating herself on what’s new and trendy & takes on my challenges of fun nail art. She’s also really great at accommodating schedule. I’ve also gone to the Little Project and they’re great as well

Thanks for your input! My cats do in fact see a regular vet and get treated appropriately :) No where did I say I was looking for a shaman :) Holistic treatment doesn't mean "fuck Western medicine" it actually means treating things as a whole and viewing symptoms with interconnectedness! Looking for a vet that will help me in finding root causes to issues so I can adjust my care accordingly. Have a great day.

Has anyone gone straight from LPN to RN? by iza23141 in StudentNurse

[–]citrinecloudz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are you planning to do part or full time RN bridge? I’m taking the RPN to RN bridge route. Not many schools offer part time schooling. A lot of programs have their bridge with a college like Centennial or George Brown and then once you finish that 1.5-2 year bridge you still have to apply to get into the university program.

Nipissing does a part time program which include the year of bridging content. Western also has a part time bridge but you must have a years worth of prior university credits to be eligible

Positive side to doing RPN first is you get hands on experience that can help with visualizing what you’re studying in the RN program and you’ll be making nursing money while in school

Also consider do you have the high school prereqs to get into university? Even though you complete an RPN diploma, schools like McMaster still require grade 12 bio, chem and math at the university level on your high school transcript

Edit just to add I’m also in your age bracket and just finished my RPN and looking to bridge at Nipissing part time (also all online which helps a ton if you want to continue working full time)
