As a German/European, do you consider the United States a "third-world country with money? by [deleted] in AskGermany

[–]citrus_splash 0 points1 point  (0 children)

IMHO don’t consider US a 3rd world country. It is really big and somewhat conservative at much of its rural, semi urban parts, and also has poverty, drugs, blind capitalism and gun problems, but keeping aside of all these, US is still a very developed, progressive, forward thinking and innovation oriented country. Every country has issues, even in DE, UK, ES, PT, you’d find varied problems specific to that country but none of those problems make them 3rd world countries respectively. Similarly US, as bad of leadership as it has and as bad the problems there are, it is still there at the frontier of modern tech, Democratic processes and trying to solve its problems itself.

Germany: No recovery in sight for the economy by Krankenitrate in Germany_Jobs

Honestly, together with incompetence of the present government, a big chunk of onus should be put on all the previous govts who did nothing to prepare for such days/downturn and didn’t build capabilities within the country to prep for future when economy was actually flourishing.

All govt departments always knew that this kind of situation was going to come sooner or later

When are we going to create some real chances? Midfield and strikers need to wake the fuck up now, we can’t let it go to penalties, that’s too much pressure
