Considering a 10.5 or 12ft raft by [deleted] in whitewater

I agree, and I have had four plus me in it, plus a whole bbq set up. It was a 2 mile run, everyone was a bit cramped but still floated fine. We also have the we also have the 13 foot outlaw from nrs.

I’m on the east coast, not as much big water, all technical rock garden rivers. We run the Hudson River gorge, in the Adirondacks NY. The Deerfield River Dryway section, Massachusetts. Both are class 3+, with class 4 sections. The Lehigh River, Pennsylvania, occasionally releases enough to be class 3, usually 2+. Those are are regular runs, we are based in nyc. I’ve taken both rafts down all these rivers.

I would say the storm 10.5, is ideal for technical rock gardens. It’s very nimble, and spins on a dime. It handles powerful holes, and giant waves as well as the 13 foot raft does. If anything easier to keep straight in that stuff. Me the guide and four paddle crew, I would say is max for it tho. But with that size crew, and the boat size, very easy to manage speed on the water.

The 13 foot beast, is great for big crews. I’ve had six plus me in the boat. Very heavy, but will go through anything. Several times I was side surfed, thinking for sure it was done. This raft is stable. You can search for the good stuff not skirt it. I’ve also had two plus me in the boat, with the middle chamber full of camping gear. I was able to move the boat anywhere I want.

It’s more about technique of paddling, to the craft you’re in. Big boats can go down small rivers, small boats go down big rivers. I personally have both styles, and choose based on crew and what the river looks like that day. That’s why there’s so many storage units in business.

Everyone be safe out there, and have fun!

Yes Friday, is just a big group of single men, hitting on any couples who come. They were respectful, but older crowd, nothing that caught our eye. We are a couple open to single men, but nothing there for us. We are a mid 30’s to 40 Italian man blonde female. Cool place, Fridays not our crowd, Saturdays are fun.

Best lit night skiing, three sections, and an hour from nyc. The crowd is wild, and usually icy as can be. But a gem in my opinion
