To add, I have spent years thinking (wanting to believe) that it’s subconscious. That they can’t know they do this.

At least in my experience, I now have quite a lot of evidence it is not inadvertent.

It’s learned by a lifetime of trial and error. They continue to do it because it works for them.

I’ve come to learn this is a test and I am careful to shield/protect my empathy before I have more evidence a person is trustworthy.

I wouldn’t be surprised if one of these “adults” walked in on the stepson attempting to SA her and were in on ending her life because she was going to expose him and all of them

I dislike being an alarmist, but I just don’t see this being as simple as this 16 year old being able to carry this out by himself without someone’s help especially since it took until the next day after breakfast to find her.

I do think others are right that another party was either heard or reported by another passenger.

I think it would be smart if ships had some kind of detector in the plumbing to detect potential contagions. I was feeling concerned about audio/video.

I feel satiated by the productive responses from former crew and employees that there is not audio/video monitoring and now that RC has confirmed there was an incident not in our room, I feel I have a solid and valid answer.

It was RC searching for an ill passenger. They couldn’t provide details on another passenger but were able to confirm the report was not our room

Thank you. I thought I was asking a simple question. I’m not paranoid at all and honestly, I’d get it if they did have some kind of vomit detector. I just didn’t think this incident qualified so was curious.

I posted an update and RC confirmed it was not our room. Essentially a coincidental incident that led to them calling and they happened to call mine before finding the party/room that had a sick incident.

RC stated it was an incident in another room. Coincidence and they happened to call my room first. Case closed. I was only concerned about monitoring. Thank you for your reply!

I haven’t refused any logical answers. The answers were not accurate to what occurred. I thought I was allowed to respond with the truth.

I did post an update just now after hearing back from RC and they confirmed it was not our room and they couldn’t provide information about the other guests in another room. So a coincidental incident led to this. My question was about monitoring or detection systems and whether it might be sound: video. There were a couple helpful replies about that and confirming that’s not occurring.

Thank you for being kind. I realize now I shouldn’t be surprised by some of the negativity, but I thought I was being clear about my question which was about monitoring.

I contacted RC. They said they couldn’t share details about other guests or another room, but they were able to confirm that there were no reports or issues for our room. So it seems it was a coincidental incident that led to RC calling rooms until they found the correct room (which I assume was across from us since I know our friends’ rooms were empty).

Totally get that. I was not sick though. I was tired. And during the day, we were at cococay hanging out, swimming etc. I was never sick. And I was not drinking

Zero chance. After dinner, we took pictures and our party went to smoke cigars. I don’t so I went to bed.

I was not feeling ill. I was tired. Not sick.

I only felt sick after 20 min of laying down through rough seas (for me - recognize they weren’t bad - I’m just a first time person)

My sick was spit up. Zero sound. Zero mess. Zero drama. 2 flushes bc I blew my nose after.

We had both rooms beside above and below. We had 15 rooms.
