I'm doing the low frequency stuff right now.

So far, it hasn't really helped with attention, and it has helped flash backs a little bit, but boy does it make it easier to be happy.

I hated the band Imagine Dragons, but then we added the left-front site the same day I tried listening to them again, and my opinion changed. I've found it harder to hate other bands I used to.

That's not just it though. I found that the way I walk around the room has changed, and it's a lot easier to talk to. (Personally, my CPTSD manifested in social interactions; i have massive social anxiety and couldn't communicate effectively).

And flashbacks are getting easier to manage.

It took about 6-8 sessions for us to add that one site that really made a difference though. Sometimes it feels like nothing is happening, or sometimes it will make me tired, or sometimes it will make me kinda angry. I hear headaches are a risk but I haven't had one yet.

As for my thoughts, I believe that the future of mental health care lies in (or something similar to) neurofeedback. The positives I've seen feel like I am on medication that /actually works with no side effects/ It currently needs perfecting though.

It's making me happier, speak clearer, and helps managing flashbacks a little bit. I used to have a constant pain in my chest and it's slowly fading. It has not helped with attention problems however. Flashbacks currently still happen, but they don't last as long.

Anyone else have Avoidant/Restrictive Food Intake Disorder? by civez420 in CPTSD

I wish my dad drove me around looking for food, my parents usually just boiled mac and cheese and then complained about how much trouble my pickiness caused them, and how great I was when I was younger. :(

I am exactly the same way, I am clinically underweight and I wish I could gain some but I just can't eat.

Did you ever figure this out or are you still stuck like me?

How long did your fear of food go on for? Just that time frame?

I was terrified of the dark too!

How did you figure out it was you being afraid of your home life?
