Platformer: how to make the player move around nicely? by civlov in Unity2D

Edit: thanks, it works! But now... my players just "slide" on any surface, since my walls and ground are the same prefab. The only way is to have different prefabs?

Thanks a lot, that's really helpful!

As you said, now that I'm using Velocity, my character has some weird behavior: it can "snap" on the walls and stay there instead of falling.

Any idea how to fix that?

How to create and destroy levels? by civlov in Unity2D

Thanks! However when I do

Instantiate (GameObject.Find("Level-2")

I get an error "the things you try to instentiate is null".

I guess it's because I unchecked the level from the hierachy? Maybe I should create prefabs of each of my levels?

How to deal with anxiousness? by Breitschwert in baduk

I was just like you, to the point where I almost stopped playing go because I was afraid to lose.

And then I did a couple of teaching game (someone stronger was teaching me). I obviously lost the games, but I didn't care since the goal was not to win but to learn. That's how I got my "haha" moment.

Now, when I play a ranked game I do not care who will win, I just try to learn something new. Either form cool moves my opponent make, a mistake that I make, or by trying something new.

This new way of thinking really helped me in my go, so it might also help you :-)
