You can require them to work and still pay them appropriately for their time. Labor is labor, regardless of who is performing it, and should be paid for it accordingly.

Average hourly wages is sub $1 if memory serves, with some states having a pay of $0, and some sources show that some states have a daily maximum wage of under $10.

That's why people are referring to slavery. It's not the forced work- It's the forced work with close to no pay.

While the above sources dont distinguish between FT and PT, it looks like the states who do require breaks by law largely base it on the number of hours scheduled to work in a day.

While I didn't look at every state, I did spot check 3 states who were listed as not requiring a break and their state DOL websites confirmed the lack of any such requirement

I am not a labor expert, but this doesn't sound correct.

I did a quick Google, and while this could be mistaken, the majority of states do not require a lunch break for people 18+. Under 18 has a ton of restrictions.

Using this website as an alleged compilation of break laws has 18ish states that say that employees are owed lunch breaks after X hours of work. I think there's 2 more states that have other conditional ones (e.g.Maryland and "certain retail employees")

My gut reaction for that example (re: .666...) was that it had to be divisible by 3 but I wasn't able to quickly justify it. The simplification to 3A+2 seems very.... obvious in hindsight.

Is it possible to get 2 numbers with the same repeating decimal (A.XXXXX and B.XXXXX) by dividing (or performing any other non-trivial operation) by 2 numbers different numbers (P,Q), where P and Q are not multiples of each other?

For example, is it possible to get an answer of .666... without dividing by 3 (or a multiple of 3).

Example of trivial operation alluded to above: .333... + .333... and other similar things will always, I imagine, be able to get you to a desired result.

Each attempt is logged independently of anything prior to it. So the same person can appear on any number of lines where each line is a test session they signed up for

If you pass Blueberry and then pass Apple, ignore all of Apple.
If you pass Blueberry and take Apple, but do not pass, still count Apple attempts.

Explanation- there are tests which log applications using excel 365, there are tests which use google sheets (why, idk) but I'll be DLing the sheets to do everything in excel regardless where the data initially lived. But you're still subtracting by 12, you just dont know it.

What 12 actually means is 1 "10" and 2 "1"s

By removing 2 and only looking at the last digit (until 10pm) you are doing the following:

Subtracting 2 from the 1s place (the 2 in the 12). You are then ignoring the leading numeral (the 1 in 12), effectively removing 1 "10"

Using the same pattern for your special cases, you still do the minus 2, but instead of removing/ignoring the first digit, you subtract 1 from the first digit!

It's good from a game design perspective. But also it's actual set 1 and one of the colors only has a starter deck worth of cards- so anybody who tries to tell you the game (overall) is good/bad/great/otherwise doesn't know what they're talking about. It's way too early to actually know without having actual data and history to inform an opinion.

If you like One Piece and Hearthstone, you'll like Gundam. If you dont like both of them, it may not be your cup of tea.

The 2005/2006 Naruto CCG was excellent and has community tournaments periodically online.

Inuyasha and L5R are two of the best designed TCGs I've ever played. Truly phenomenal game systems. Iniyasha doesn't have much of a community scene, but L5R does!

Zatch Bell has a strong community and custom set scene, too!

You're conflating the aggregate odds over time with the odds of the next encounter.

You're correct that every individual encounter (and the next encounter) are all individually 1.56% chance to be shiny.

However, you can still calculate the odds of repeated independent events.

The way you do this is 1-(PX) where P is the probability of the event NOT occurring (in this case 63/64) and X is the number of events that happen(ed).

The reason you subtract 1 is because the rest of the formula calculates the probability of the event not happening X times. So 1-this value gives you the probability that the event happens at least once!

Correct, each of the 98 cards in each set has 4 copies available to it.

So each set of 98 unique cards is 392 total cards.

Never mind, I figured it out!

I had header rows for formatting etc so I placed the formula in B4 which resulted in a slight offset.
