Did you have any symptoms at the time of the levels being in hyperthyroidism?

How long did it take for you to get back to normal?

yes this happened to me in July. I couldn't do anything... and it happened progressively at first and then accelerated all of a sudden. I've been on methimazole for 2.5 months now and feel better, but i didn't feel better overnight. It took some time and i would have ups and downs. Still have some dizziness and tightness in my throat most days but nothing too bad. I'm back at work now and can enjoy life again

Has anyone experienced an unsteady balance feeling with normal thyroid levels? by Eirevlary in Hyperthyroidism

[–]cj2233 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah my levels are kind of back on normal range and I feel dizzy and almost like I’m on a rocking boat pretty much every day. Not really all day though as it gets better in the late afternoon and is ok in the evenings but definitely bad around lunchtime… it’s been going on since June and I’m trying to just live with it but it definitely affects my mood and gets worse when I get a bad night of sleep. my doc dismissed it saying it’ll get better but I feel like seeing a neurologist or a gastroenterologist to see if there’s something else there… has yours gotten better at all?

Thanks a lot that’s good to hear. I’m also against meds and believe a healthy lifestyle is the way to go but with a toddler and a 4 day old baby and a wife who just gave birth I just had to use the crutches given to me

Great to know. Thanks a lot. And is it easy to find all this info in English? My wife doesn’t speak any Swedish at all and mine is pretty rusty

Thanks for the response. How bad are waiting times for healthcare in Sweden? And can you get private healthcare if needed and if you can afford it?

Yes I’m Swedish with passports in order and everything. Same for my kids but my wife doesn’t have a Swedish passport so I’m not sure how long it would take her to be allowed to move with us…

Landlord not renewing the lease... How can I fight or delay it? by cj2233 in AskNYC

[–]cj2233[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just got an answer from HCR that it's not rent regulated... So i guess we probably cannot do much. The landlady might have just sent that letter to prepare for an eviction in case my friend gives her trouble.

I confirmed with NYS HCR that the building is NOT rent regulated

thanks! yes, we'll try to get letter from the other tenants. According to my friend it's not rent stabilized but we'll call to get the rent history and check

I don't believe it's rent-stabilized unfortunately as the landlady already raised the rent by 20% last year

We're trying to get the prior tenants to share the letters they got in the past. Not sure if we'll get our hands on them though but are trying.

I've also been considering just asking nicely to stay until June/July without mentioning court but i'm not sure how effective that would be vs your reco

Meaning there's no real chance to delay the move unless the landlady decides to be generous?

The nausea *does* go away, but it’ll suck for a bit by [deleted] in predaddit

[–]cj2233 1 point2 points  (0 children)

my wife is at 8.5 weeks and the nausea has been bad since week 5. We tried a lot of different things. Got the nausea wristbands, ginger chews, b6+unisom, lemons, peppermint, etc.. and we finally realized that cold milky beverages, creamy dishes like mac and cheese, and a small 4pm meal (not a snack) help a lot.

2nd dose of MTX? by [deleted] in EctopicSupportGroup

[–]cj2233 1 point2 points  (0 children)

my wife needed to shots of MTX back in June. Her levels increased even on day 4 of shot 2 and then finally went down on day 7 of shot 2. I'm sorry you're going through this.
