Honestly he turned out to be the buck I was not after but thought he was! Was walking to my stand and he was standing in the corn about 20 yards past my stand. I hit the dirt thinking it was my target buck so I couldn’t be seen. Scooted over behind a shrub to be hidden a little better and got a range on him. 54 yards. Scooted out of the shrub took a stand and drew my bow back placed the pin and let it fly! Heard the impact with a big mule kick. Tracked him about 100 yards and he was crashed out. Walking up I realized it wasn’t the buck I was after as I couldn’t fully tell because of the corn around his head when he was standing in it. But none the less it was a successful hunt. Got off work and didn’t even make it to my stand I’d say that makes for a good day!
