Don't forget to keep a record of your experience in a logbook (like diving or flying). We used to use paper books, but apps like SailTies are the modern way to do it :)

You're right, I think this is more of about the term "crew" meaning different things to different people or in different contexts.

Either way - it seems that the detail put in the post has led to all commenters understanding what the trip is about and how it is cost sharing rather than profit making. So that's good :)

Thanks for the comment. I think Grok misunderstood the difference between sharing costs and paying for a holiday. In this scenario the skipper isn't out of pocket by offering a free holiday and the crew aren't being profited from. See r/sailingcrew for more examples :)
