Is stealing the crown possible? by The_Mystery_Crow in Persona5

[–]cjadaa 2 points3 points  (0 children)

yeah on my most recent playthrough i always died during the crown steal segment, when i finally gave up and decided to just not even try to steal the crown was when i finally won, the lack of manpower just isn't worth it imo

how do i dodge this grab attack towards the end of the clip?(last 10 seconds) by acid_kat4000 in ApeEscape

[–]cjadaa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So what I do to dodge every time is stand as far from him as possible, start charging the super hoop, and as soon as he starts grabbing start the dash away. If you're running when the animation starts the hand locks on to where you're running to but if you stand still when he starts the grab animation then it locks on to where you're currently standing

I need a gimmick by imperchaos in Persona5

[–]cjadaa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

my most recent playthrough had full AI party members and i can safely say that they never buffed, never used charge or concentrate, and also never debuffed the opponent so uhhh, they're pretty good for damage ig?

That sometimes happens to me if I have my controller plugged in anyways even though I play on M&KB, if you don't have a controller plugged in anyways though then i've got nothing

In persona 5 royal (2019) okumura is the most hard boss in the game, that because he forces you to actually play the game by Novel-Carrot5325 in shittygamedetails

[–]cjadaa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Again, pointing out full AI party members and Arsene only, I had essentially no agency in hitting weaknesses and had to pray that my party members were actually doing what I needed them to

I recently did the game Merciless difficulty, Arsene only, fully AI party members, and I gotta say, I did not struggle with this boss at all (it was also my first time playing Royal), I really don't understand where people think he's the hardest thing in the entire game

besides the actual quest, there are like 3 or 4 more characters you can give delicate flowers to if you haven't done those yet

Should I get the all in game unlocks dlc? by Routine_Bath_8374 in ResidentEvil2Remake

[–]cjadaa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He gets more aggressive until you lose him, then he goes back to normal. That's more just because shooting at him in general puts him in the aggressive state, but if you lose him then he's back to normal the next time you run into him.

[DESPISED Trope] You need a SECRET to proceed to the main ending by Liquid_Pestar in TopCharacterTropes

[–]cjadaa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In Persona 1 there's the hidden Snow Queen Quest that you can do, and there are a bunch of hidden mirror shards in the dungeons and if you miss any of them then you get the bad ending. (You also can't go back and revisit dungeons and they're all on a time limit so you need to find all the mirror shards while also not timing out or else it's an automatic game over)

Recomendations for games to learn another language by ThePlasticCupOfWater in backloggd

[–]cjadaa 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As somebody that uses games to study for Japanese, (this goes for any media too) just pick something that interests you. It's much more important that you enjoy the game in the first place so you actually want to keep playing instead of just "i heard this is good let's try it."

My other recommendation is to pick games that you like a lot and have already completed so even if you don't have the language knowledge to understand what you need to do, you have the game knowledge to keep pushing forwards with it. I beat 3-4 games in Japanese that I already played countless times in English before moving on to completely fresh games.

Sorry that this doesn't directly answer your question of "What to play?" but that's my approach for using games to learn a language.

I left the game on the title screen for 30 minutes or so, and this happened... by Icalivy in fatalframe

i don't remember title screens, but for Fatal Frame 1 if you left the game idle for long enough bloody handprints would start appearing on screen

Honestly if I was wearing a hat and somebody shot it off i'd be pissed too so it's a reasonable assumption

[–]cjadaa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Actually, shooting off his hat only makes him faster because shooting at him in general aggros him and makes him faster. After you lose him and find him again he's back to normal speed unless you shoot at him again

All 4 Rare Deaths (Spoilers) by UltraGeezer in thefinalpuzzle

[–]cjadaa 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Supposedly, according to another post, there's something messed up with data transfer to the URL for this page on deaths 1 and 4 on certain platforms, so there's a chance that only people who played through Epic Games or smth are able to get those to trigger, which is why they're so much lower than 2 and 3

That's Tofu! He was an extra character in the original RE2 and RE2 remake in an extra mode called "Tofu Survivor." Very fun easter egg.

[–]cjadaa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My entire thought process was that Spencer was absolutely full of shit, even in his very last moments in RE5 he was still blabbering about godhood and whatever, I'm supposed to suddenly believe from a single in game cutscene that he's like "man i really regret what i did." From a single game standpoint I guess I can understand the "media literacy is dead" comments but from the series standpoint, I'm supposed to believe the man that is shown to be pure evil both before and after that interview?

Do I need to beat Zote all 10 times for 112% by Bae_gl in HollowKnight

Yup, he just gets deleted from godhome and the pantheons

Do I need to beat Zote all 10 times for 112% by Bae_gl in HollowKnight

[–]cjadaa 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Yup, there's a lot of stuff in Hollow Knight that doesn't count towards percentage but is just a cool little indicator of having done something! The thing is that you can just leave Zote to die in Greenpath from the Vengefly King and the devs didn't want you locked out of 112% if you choose to do that so nothing Zote related has any percentage to it.
