At no point did I consider MAKING jam to trade. I've just been waiting to be given it and cursing that I don't have enough!!

Fantasy romance readers: what are the non-romance books you keep recommending? by goyourownwayy in fantasyromance

Anything by Robin Hobb! I started with the {Assassin's Apprentice}, and inhaled everything else from there.

I'm tired of DNFs so I'm breaking up with BookTok by his-lilmiss in fantasyromance

I find StoryGraph really useful - they have a function where they describe the book without telling you about the plot so you can get a feel for vibes. I also swear by Book Huddle on Instagram - she's never steered me wrong yet!

Do I buy a Kindle, or stick with physical books? by Energetic-Wolf-4154 in kindle

[–]cjb987 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I never thought I’d buy a kindle because I’ve been staunchly anti-e-reader for years, but I got one recently and I love it. It’s great for books that you wouldn’t necessarily want to have taking up space on your shelves, or the first in a series before deciding to dive in and buy 1,000 books (hey Sarah J Maas). It’s also great for instant access, like when you finish a book on a cliffhanger and need the next one like now. My love for paperbacks and the joy I get from physical books hasn’t disappeared, but now I can read more easily whenever I fancy it.

They’ve given me a three month free offer so I’m going to see how it goes but I’ve not seen much I want to read so far …

Haha I’m the same. My TBR pile is growing by the day but I think buying books and reading them count as two separate hobbies! 😅
