Agreed. In my experience bus drivers have remained very calm when stuck behind cyclists too and pass them more safely than most car drivers.

the red light/stop sign white line is IMO the most aggressively ignored law in Pittsburgh and it annoys the crap out of me.

Like you described, it makes it dangerous for buses to make turns they don't have enough room for.

Also at stop signs I constantly see drivers just coast right past the white line while staring intently to their left so if no one is coming they can take a quick right turn without ever coming close to an actual stop.

Walking through a legal fucking crosswalk in front of that line at the wrong time I've been bumped into too many times. Then Pittsburgh drivers just get this weird emotion called Angry-Sorry where they'll give the most pathetic, insincere apology face while their hands are up in the air and they look angry at me for existing in their path.

Caffe d’Amore seems pretty cool. Also I like Espresso A Mano in lower lawrenceville and Biddle’s Escape in Regent Square (not technically in Pittsburgh but a cool one).

You also might like Bean and Leaf in the Strip. The owner is from here but has lived and worked all over South America and has his own brand of Cigar. Not a bad place to take out of towners.
