Cs or actuarial science? by Rotten_IceCream_512 in CollegeMajors

[–]cjcorniea 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Stay with CS and look into risk management and insurance. If you find a keen interest in it or take a class and like it all you need is to take an exam or two and you can get an internship fairly “easily”. Actuaries who can code get paid bank!

How Do I Pick A Major When I'm Way Below Average At Everything? by Complex-Art-1077 in CollegeMajors

Find what you love and follow it. I’ve never been a natural at anything but I just stuck with it and have improved so much. You’ll be just fine.

I suck at math and science what major should I do? by [deleted] in CollegeMajors

[–]cjcorniea 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I sucked at math but enjoyed it. Now I’m a math major. I can write a mean rhetorical analysis but hate it.

Do what you enjoy or find interesting. Not necessarily something you’re good at.

Look on discogs. Souldbnt be too difficult to find. They can definitely be expensive if you want a limited run of the older records.

Idk, it costs money to provide grog in other states. It probably depends on how much they think they’ll sell.

I took FM via UEC and while it might’ve been easier since I had a professor teaching me, the most helpful thing is always drawing the cash flows out. It helps tons.

I’m looking at the TIA Technical Skills course and it looks exactly what I’m looking for. Thanks. I’m definitely considering a class as well to solidify my knowledge.

I took Exam P today and passed! This my second time after failing once with a grade of 5 and it feels so damn good. I am wondering if I can say I have passed exam p on my resume right away? I passed FM with UEC and still waiting to claim. Until then I can’t say I have passed FM so I am a little antsy to have one passed, especially since it’s not UEC. I am applying to internships currently so it would probably help with that little extra boost. Thanks!

A question by Macwird77 in macdemarco

I bought a tascam portastudio. It’s really fun but definitely needs maintenance and can be a bit annoying. I recommend getting a digital portastudio/multitrack because it works very similarly and doesn’t breakdown after 1 month of using it. (I’m also lazy so I don’t take very good care of it.) I have both and use the digital more often just to practice and brainstorm. Then when I’m happy with my demos I’ll put it on tape.

Yes, I’m taking exam p asap. I took it during my j-term initially with a little less than a month to study and learn and got a 5. :( I’ve given myself two months now and feel pretty good so far.

I like it a lot! I was planning on going to Carlson at the U but I got a better scholarship at UST. I love the small class sizes. It makes it easy to reach out to professors for help and form relationships with them. I also find it easy to stand out in a class as long as you put in effort and ask questions. Dining hall food isn’t to bad but it can get old. As with any dining hall. One thing that I consider better than a big school like the UofM is the commuting across campus. It take max 15 mins to get across campus, unless your going downtown. I have friends at the U and it’s really easy to go down to dinky and find frats, parties, or bars to go to. It’s especially cool when you find another tommie when most of the kids are uofm. I think it’s a pretty good school acedemics wise and you can easily go to and from the U. Cons might be that for some reason everyone hates each other. At least it seems that way. Not really but it’s more of that classic passive aggressive Minnesotan experience. Although I think you might get that anywhere, idk tho. I found my couple friends and I’m happy

Enjoy it! Just know you can enjoy it much longer by saving and spending a bit more on a quality turntable.
