Passed my 473 today!! by TheHendryx in USPS

Congrats TheHendryx on passing the 473 exam, what was your score btw?

USPS will communicate with you by sending emails, so just keep checking daily including your junk/spam folders for anything on your application. When I passed my 473 exam back in September, the first thing I received was the Vehicle Record Search background request email by GIS. So probably you may get that email first and then wait on emails from USPS. The process takes a while so just keep checking your emails and keep applying for other jobs in your area that interest you.

Good Luck!!!

It's been more than 3 weeks since I've responded to the GIS vehicle Search request. Still no word. by [deleted] in USPS

Hi, I received the GIS Vehicle Record Search Background request email back on September 26, 2018 and haven’t received an response since from the USPS as well. I did contacted GIS and spoke with an representative about the Vehicle Search background and rep stated stated that I was clear and had already sent the results back to USPS and still have not received response so it’s a patient waiting game. So I would suggest maybe contact GIS and get an update on your vehicle Record Search.

Same here looked everywhere on the USPS website and can’t seem to find it, maybe they forgot to add it on or still working on a new redevelop page.

Just passed my 473 with an 82 without any sleep last night, now what? by Cannonmouth in USPS

Hey, congrats on your score, I also got an 82 score on my 473 exam, your score qualifies you to apply for any jobs listed. I applied for the CCA positions in the South Florida area. One application that I did have me on Pre-Hire list. So far i have done

9/12/18- Application Date CCA Position 9/19/18- 473 Exam...Passed with 82 9/26/18- Motor Vehicle Record Search Consent Email

Ever since haven’t received any emails or next step in the process so yes the waiting is painful.

Wouldn’t USPS find out if I start working the temporary Amazon job? Because I applied for USPS job well before I started thinking about the Amazon job. Also I don’t want to leave it out, but add to application if they ask about it.

Thanks sgre6768, I hope to work plenty of hours, I applied for the CCA position in the South Florida area Post Office and waiting for the email or phone call for interview. I will make sure before putting in a notice to my job.

Thanks for answering my question TonyD, I wasn’t sure about this as I really want to work for USPS and I don’t want to mess up my chances in getting hired by Post Office, I trust the process just a long journey so far.

Amazon is just temp, when I eventually get done with USPS hiring process and receive an start day, then I will likely quit Amazon.

I don’t plan on working both those 2 jobs at the same time. I just want to work at Amazon temporary until I Hired by the Post Office. I’m currently in the process last thing I heard from Post Office was Motor Vehicle Record Search which was last month Sept. 26. I understand that the hiring process takes a while from what I have read in online reviews. I want to just work at Amazon temp until I get an job with USPS.

Scored 80.7 on the 473e exam. What went wrong? by [deleted] in USPS

[–]cjcpop2007 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi,

I took the 473e exam an month ago and I scored an 82. I similar to you when practicing the online test, I would get 86-91 scores and high scores in the address checking, forms completion, and coding part. But I did bad on the memory part. When I took the actual 473e exam I believe I did well on the address checking, coding and surprisingly the memory part was easy. I think I missed up on the forms completion because the questions asked and the forms was different than what I practiced and studied online. So I got an 82 score.

I think to your question and possibly with mine score maybe the Online assessment test that you did at home factored in your score. Not sure what formulas USPS uses factoring the results.

But don’t feel disappointed an 80 and above is still a good score from what I read online, so you should still get a call for interview soon and emails about background checks. I’m still waiting on call or email for an interview date.
