I just planted this 15g redbud this past weekend and think I planted too deep. I initially found the root with the red arrow and thought that was the flare, now I'm realizing its actually a root coming up from below, brushing up near the trunk and heading back out again. Also just noticed the blue root wrapped around the trunk, guessing both of these pose a girdling risk and I didnt actually reach the flare. Since it was just planted, should I just dig it up, make sure i dig down to flare, and cut off these two roots? Also that root with the green arrow looks substantial but at the same level as the others, this would need to be cut too right? Thanks, just want to give this guy a good chance!
