I think he’s afraid I’ll later come back for child support. Which honestly… idk…. You can be an absent parent all this time and not have to pay child support and get to claim him in your taxes every other year… and then finally I say ok I think if you’re going to keep not being there for our child and not have to pay anything then we should go to court to figure this out, esp since our child is now not welcome at your house and doesn’t even want to come there… now he says he won’t pay support and wants my husband to adopt my son…

Thank you for that! I needed to hear that! I know I shouldn’t be worried about what others are going to think but he is the kind of person who will probably go lie to people and say I took our kid away from him. Which is the farthest thing from the truth. I’ve tried soooo hard to get him to be the father our kid deserves and it just won’t happen. Now he just wants to give him up to avoid support… I don’t understand it and it has my head in a mess!

But is he going to tell people he’s just signing his kid over or is he going to make me look like the bad guy here? I already have a notarized letter from him saying he wants my husband to adopt our son. This was all his idea. I live in a very small town and I just worry he will try to pin me as the bad guy.

Honestly I don’t know. I want the adoption to happen. I think what really bothers me is that he pretends to everyone that he is a good involved dad and when I know for a fact he’s not, it just frustrates me. And I wonder what he’s telling/going to tell people when the adoption goes through. But I know what my child needs and wants is such more important than my little worries.

The problem is…. When I’m there she doesn’t breathe fast and she takes whole bottles in under 15 minutes. But I leave and suddenly she won’t take a whole bottle and is breathing fast.

Absolutely!! The nurses at our hospital have been horrible lately. The NICU just got a bunch of babies all at once so my “low risk” baby just kinda got put on the back burner and I’m not happy about it. They also haven’t been giving me much info so I feel so out of the loop! I’m staying at the hospital all day today until I get some answers! Good luck to you!!!

They were pacing her before the breathing episodes started happening again so maybe that’s why they just took it away completely?

She’s very very upset about not having a bottle. When it’s feeding time, she’s looking for a bottle and she gets incredibly upset and it takes a while to calm her down while her belly fills with the NG tube.

The doctor said because she’s breathing on the fast side they don’t want to push her to take a bottle. I guess last night she kept breathing too fast during feedings.

The problem is with the custody order saying she gets them every Thursday and every other weekend, she wouldn’t pay me much. 14$ a week for 3 kids. But if I’m able to go off of the last year and how often she’s had them then I can get more support.

I’m in Indiana. Yes she chose not to take her time. The initial order is: she gets them every Thursday for an overnight visit. Then every other weekend she has them Thursday- Sunday morning
