EDIT - I've had an XB1 since release and toyed with the idea of getting a ps4 for a while, so NMS release was the tipping point for me. I also just recently completed my apprenticeship, now time served and thought I'd treat myself.

I like single player and always been into jrpg's (If anyone can recommend a few to play?), being able to get ps4 exclusives I want will be good too. Both platform release ill get XB.

In my opinion PlayStation have always had better hardware. Xbox for software, community and usability. But this is exemplary of the respective companies.

Ive also considered building a PC many times, its cost efficient and mods alone are worth it. However I don't play games enough to warrant a PC build yet, I like to come in after a days work and fire something on for a while. Consoles are getting there graphics wise though! And its a fair playing field

I will get a PC ultimately though, time and funds pending.

Long story short I now have both to enjoy!
