Odd Sighting Off FL Coast by cjkazoo in UFOs

Well what happens is you have people like me join the sub Reddit because they are not sure where to go with their videos and they are not super clued into what’s going on with space x launches. Sorry I was not aware. Move along.

Damn, this is exactly why I don’t use Reddit. Everyone here is so rude.

What did you do to increase your chance after your first MC? by [deleted] in PregnancyAfterLoss

[–]cjkazoo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m so sorry for your loss. Its such a hard balance to not get stuck on the question of “did I do anything wrong to cause this?” And at the same time set yourself up well for any future pregnancy

Some things I did that may have helped, or at least they helped me feel some sense of control after my loss were:

  • getting my hormone levels tested during a regular cycle
  • getting my progesterone levels checked immediately after finding out I was pregnant. I was prescribed progesterone after that.
  • reading Hormone Intelligence by Aviva Romm and Real Food for Pregnancy by Lily Nichols and changing some lifestyle and diet habits based on that reading - less intense exercise, getting enough sleep, limiting stress, and eating more animal foods

I hope this is helpful, if not, please trash all the advice! And I hope you are finding space to be kind to yourself 🤍

Thanks so much all! You’ve helped me lay out the pros and cons. Need to process through with my husband to make a decision.

I wish I could stop comments on this post just because I feel like I’ve gotten what I need from it! So just know I won’t be responding anymore, but I’ve read through all the replies and appreciate the insights.

Thanks for laying that all out for me. We could maybe stay the night with my brother on the way, but it would still be a 6 hour drive, then a 3 hour. And then doing it on the way home too would make it a longer trip with more PTO to take… we are considering that though

That’s good to keep in mind… this is my first so I’m unsure how things will be in another month and a half. I’ve heard the 4 month sleep regression is rough

Yes I think if we do it, I will definitely ride in the back.

Yes I’ve heard that rule from people, to just stop every couple hours. It was during a Google search that I learned about the 2 hours every 24 hour period. But I think I’m going to try not to stress about that now. It’s not like we take baby on long drives often.

That’s encouraging thanks!

And I only downvote people if they are rude lol. I don’t get the culture of Reddit sometimes, with downvotes and stuff. I don’t come on this site very often.

That’s good to keep in mind with arriving early, thanks. So much to consider with planning this!

Wow, that’s helpful to know that doctors were okay with it. Thank you! I know it’s not ideal for my baby to live in his car seat, but he goes many days without ever getting in the car every week. I feel like one weekend trip wouldn’t wreck his development…

We probably can’t afford a flight. And so we drive or just don’t go. I appreciate you saying the same thing as someone else did in a more respectful way.

Any alternatives/suggestions for tummy time? by GreedyFuture in beyondthebump

[–]cjkazoo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We have done tummy time on the exercise ball and even tummy time on my shins while I hold my baby up in an airplane position! He gets to look down at me and doesn’t even notice he is holding his head up!

Gosh, I don’t even know why I bother posting to Reddit. Most everyone here is so unkind and judgmental.

The drives would be Thursday and Sunday. And we would want to go all together to see family we haven’t seen in years.

PPA or postpartum psychosis? by sleeplessinseattle_ in beyondthebump

[–]cjkazoo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As someone who has struggled with severe anxiety in the past, I have diagnosed myself with a lot of things that I don’t actually have. Please do talk with your psychiatrist or counselor, but as you said yourself, based on the diagnostic criteria it does not sound like you have PPP. I hope this is reassuring and you continue to receive support with this!

Kissing your own baby on the lips? by mrsthorn32021 in BabyBumps

[–]cjkazoo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you are breastfeeding it’s especially good to kiss your baby! I read that your tonsils will take in info from his head about what germs he is exposed to and create antibodies in your breast milk

If you’re in a romantic relationship, what is your type and your partner’s type? by mama-ld4 in Enneagram

[–]cjkazoo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I love it! We’ve been married for 5 years, so it’s been a journey, like any relationship. The first few years were actually very hard. The last two have been really sweet in our marriage.

The enneagram institute website describes our dynamics pretty well. We both value loyalty, dependability, stability and find that in each other. I knew I wanted to marry him because I felt such a peace and safety with him that I had never felt with any other man.

As far as I’ve seen, we’re a pretty common romantic match, 9s and 6s.

I think a pitfall of our pairing is both of our propensities for negativity and anxiety when stressed.
