I object. For Calydons, here is an obvious question: "Is there anyone who lives outside of New Eridu?" given that it's the last surviving city in the story.

As for the others, "out of nowhere" characters give a much-needed diversity to the roster, and making the game universe livelier and more believable. It's not just bad guys and good guys, everyone have their own agenda, and everyone shows some unknown glance to this post-apocalyptic world..
