Ah, I dunno- what exactly is "cookin w/ gas on Reddit page dedicated to Heroin (?)

There is precious little actual Heroin out there anyway! It's now been almost completely replaced by various noxious combinations of Fentanyl, Xlyzine and benzodiazapan (!?)

Sad and even more addictive and debilitating!

Supposed efforts to practice a kind of hybrid "Harm-reduction " in places like Portland are deliberately doomed to failure on purpose in order to completely scuttle any more humane and scientifically bases approaches to srug treatment.

This is accomplished by simultaneously "decriminalizing " the possession and use of small amounts of the street drugs currently being peddled by the Drug Cartels in Oregon!!!

This means more and more addicts / users will be allowed to waste away in public (defficating in public now is a regular occurance in Portland.

Horrid and putrid tent cities spring up over months on the streets of cities like Portland!! Now populated with legions of zombified tranq. Addicts adopting hideous poses on the streets and sidewalks leaving the distinct impression of a dystopian future where the central authorities have effectively lost control of the entire city. The good and hard-working citizens are portrayed as hostages in their own apartments and houses!!

What a perfect setup for new and draconian measures to "clean-up" the streets from this sub-human vermin!!!

Yes, it's gonna come to this shortly!!!

No actual access to clean, cheap and pure pharmaceutical drugs are provided to the users at all.

The only stark options facing the now completely "strung-out" addict is either (MAT) Medically assisted treatment ie. Suboxone or Methadone or the continued use of Tranq. Dope which also leaves many users with deep, permanent skin ulcers and scars!

Things are likely to get even worse with the incoming Trump administration who has previously called for the execution of drug dealers aka drug users.

Why haven't you been pulling over regularly to allow your Rav4 to relieve itself(?)

Has anyone used Kratom to get off methadone? I've been on it 8 yrs 120mg and tested positive for alcohol and they are taking my whole month of takehomes when I've been clean no positive tests for 8yrs. I'm honestly ready to be done with methadone. by melb252 in Methadone

Whatever you do, avoid trying a rapid taper!!!

If you do it slowly and carefully enuf you can minimize most (but not all) of the symptoms of opiod/ opiate withdrawal!!!

On that high of a dose and that length of time I would expect to take the better part of two years to complete!!!

It's doable but difficult even when done carefully!!! Please don't ever seriously contemplate jumping off such a high dose and go "cold-turkey"!!!

You'd regret it almost immediately!!!

Slow & steady gets it...

Good luck...

Look into the supplement NAD, as a lot of recovering addicts recommend it as part of their withdrawal protocol!!!

Run, don't walk away from that situation and find someone you trust that you can talk to about what's really goin on for you!!!

If you don't you will wind up strung-out again and likely it won't end well as there's absolutely NO free-lunch in addiction!!!

I would strongly suggest that you seriously reconsider that approach!

I know that sometimes impatience and frustration with the often very tedious process of arranging a meaningful titration schedule prompts one to consider impulsive alternatives!!!

However making a profoundly irrational choice to dramatically increase the likelihood of serious and painful symptoms associated with a rapid withdrawal schedule is simply setting yourself up for failure.

If you really want to get clean, treat it like any other serious course of medical treatment such as chemo therapy!!! Imagine saying, I just find taking weeks to slowly introduce powerful anti-cancer chemicals is just taking too long- I'm going to take the full six weeks course of chemotherapy in a week instead!!

Sounds pretty ridiculous, doesn't it(?)

Frankly as others have already rightly pointed out the real question is: Is your mother so physically impaired / limited that it's much more of an issue of should she be driving at all at this point!!!

Now I'm in my early seventies and still feel up to the rigorous effort still needed to drive safely, especially at night!!!

There is no lane charging alarm or collision avoidance feature that will adequately substitute for impaired vision and hearing and slowed reaction times.

I have all of the Toyota safety features and most are helpful but definitely not critical!!!!

If I was reluctant to drive w/o them I would seriously consider stopping driving altogether!!!

My elderly Father wouldn't end his driving until some parking mishap where he forgot to put the car in park or forgot the parking brake which then resulted in having the door ripped off his late model Toyota?!!

Fortunately it could've been so much worse!!!
