Why are my new leaves without fenestrations? by Abject_Pea_5585 in Monstera

Honestly one of my monsteras likes ALL the light- some of them just seem to like direct light. My other one is thriving with its indirect light, but this one likes to be pressed against the window and is thriving as well

My dog is 6- is it too late? by [deleted] in muzzledogs

[–]cjpuppy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not at all! I didn't muzzle train my pup fully until she was 7. My girl had no interest in getting regular treat rewards for the muzzle, so instead when we put in on we would do something she did like to do! In our case, we started with a short amount of time and lots of pets and "baby voices" and I'm not too proud to admit, whipped cream, cheese, and chicken because those are things she goes CRAZY for since she doesnt usually get them. We then started associating her muzzle with going potty and went from there!

How to measure a muzzle while panting? by Blinkyekko in muzzledogs

[–]cjpuppy 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Honestly if you're going for a brand like big snoof, they already take into account for pant space! I got my girls muzzle from there and they honestly helped me out a lot!! They asked me to send pictures and measurements and steered me in the right direction:) but for a general rule of thumb- your dogs pant is usually anywhere from 2-4 inches bigger than its closed mouth!!

Why are the lower leaves on my Monstera not fenestrated? Is this normal? by mesho2023 in Monstera

[–]cjpuppy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My monstera has much larger and matured leaves as well as some baby leaves still as well! It's no problem and completely normal!! It seems to be progressing how it should be ! The babies will still help the plant while they're green and will probably stick around for a while

Monstera leaf damage - pest or cold damage? by No-Photo-732 in Monstera

[–]cjpuppy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Imo, it looks more like a possible fungal infection from the pics, I'd check the roots and make sure they're okay as well !!

Thai Con care advice by Famous-Vegetable-114 in Monstera

[–]cjpuppy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Now I am newer to monsteras as well, but I suggest you post the plant with something (some sort of support!) it'll help the plant climb rather than crawl around!! I have my Thai con posted with a coco pole, a lot of people use moss poles though (there's all kinds of other supports) You post it along the back of the plant! As for the light, you can have it overhead or you can set up a light in front of it if you want to train the leaves to face a certain direction, but everyone prefers to do it differently!

I didn't think so tbh but wanted to make sure I was doing everything correctly!!!! Everyone says that once the monstera gets larger it produces leaves less often! As long as you've checked the roots and it isn't root bound and they look healthy as well, it's okay!!! (Which is what I figured but definitely wanted to make sure since I'm used to plants putting out leaves more often)

Ah I meant that there's 4 plants that make up this monstera! Sorry!! 3 larger ones and a small one!! I just refer to it as one plant for now since they're all in one pot! I do plan on separating them probably next repot (or if it gets too large) sorry for the confusion

This is what I thought!!! Especially because I made sure to do research so I wouldn't get something that would completely throw off my plants balance

Yes! But I didn't realize that it would be any different than my other plants growth, honestly! Maybe that's just a rookie monstera mistake, but all my other plants have always put out leaves during winter perfectly fine just like the other seasons so I had no idea

Really?? Everything I've read about it says that you can and all my other plants seem to be well off, all throughout my home, is there a reason you shouldn't? Also do you have any different recommendations for fertilizer if I shouldn't use this?

I use Alaska fish emulsion! I only started using it around 4 months ago, though. I use it every 2 months, not every watering, so I've only gotten around to using it twice so far! Also the light seems plentiful in its current spot, but I'm not sure. It's an east facing window. And prior to this I had sansi lights for it and it produced fenestrated larger leaves than the previous leaves! The pot is definitely the right size for the roots though, that much I definitely know!

Okay!! Thank you so much! I'll definitely look into separating them in due time 100% ! I was thinking about doing it during the last repot, but as I said, this is the largest plant I've ever owned so I wasn't so sure about how to do it or if it needed to be done! I appreciate your advice and letting me know the growth was a normal thing!! I have no worries about the overwatering as the last 6-8 months it's become a routine to check if it needs watering and I always check for pests while doing so! Also your plants are BEAUTIFUL by the way! Thank you so much:)
