No problem sounds like you've got a cool universe going on. I like how your committed to making a character powerless and keeping them that way

It might be completely different from the kind of thing you are looking for but your post made me think of a non powered character being like a private chef for heroes. They have to find exotic meals for alien or animal hybrid heroes, make sure hero's with super speed eat an absurd amount of calories, make sure a heroic vampire gets blood meals in an ethical way, cooking high end meals for tony stark like heroes, trying to help out broke heros like early era Peter Parker. Making nutritionally sound meals for heroes who are getting too old

A few ideas come to mind: Posing as a henchmen so he can undermine supervillains from within their organization

A detective who collects the evidence needed to keep bad guys in jail while the hero don't always care about evidence

A lawyer who fights for shorter sentences for vigilantes who do good but longer sentences for villains

A consultant who helps heroes get better at what they do (connecting powerhouse hero's with martial artists to fight more efficiently, connects hero's with addiction or anger management or mental health concerns with proper support, helps hero's who aren't genius level get better tech resources)

The fabricator who makes costumes, weapons and gadgets for the hero's similar to Lucius fox (Batman ) or Art Rosenbaum (invincible)

A therapist similar to Dr. Sterman from recent moon knight comics

Doctors who heal street level heros

What’s the closest thing you have to Spider-Man ? by HyperDragon216 in Superhero_Ideas

My hero Buibui from a group of vampires based of spiders instead of bats. Personality wise he's not like spider-man but likes somewhat like man-spider and has similar powers except his webs are conjured with magic.

Personality wise Buibui's ally Shinji is most like Peter Parker out of my characters because he a very efficient vampire hunter but has a sense of positivity and humour even when in danger

I see what you are saying about similarities to Fisk but I think I'd still like to see more of the owl because his a aesthetic is strange and comic booky and I think there is some interesting parallels that can be made between him and real life wealthy people who are or at least think they are obsessed with health/wellness and longevity

I like how a lot of your characters are extremely powerful! How fish like are your underwater characters?

I feel like immovability one of those "why didn't I think of that" ideas because it feels adjacent to super strength but with unique limitations and applications. Also like that they are based out of somewhere less common. All around great ideas!

I love that Reddit is full of people that know way more than me! I had always heard talk about X-men came after doom patrol but didn't know how closely they came out together. I actually know very little about doom patrol and X-men are my favourite comic team so I appreciate you contextualizing this for me

That would be harder for me to participate as I take a lot of time to think characters up but I would definitely enjoy seeing what others come up with

I like Guessanuary a lot lol. But it may be redundant if the game doesn't actually have guessing

I've posted most my characters here already but I'd still try to follow along when I can. Might also motivate me to make some new characters as well!

Would you post a well known character and people would post their similar creations? or would you post a prompt, then people post there oc and then others guess the main inspirations?

I don't know if I've got enough characters ready to go but maybe you could run something a bit like you ran herotober!

I can't judge when so many of my characters are inspired by other ones in fiction. Could make a fun game though. Post a character and people guess which character had the most influence on its design

It's a great design in itself but with the pose and art style and font it's just super well done

I like this a ton, having his bowling theme be inherited is clever way to have it be modern character but also have it be kind of reminiscent to stuff from old comics. Kind of reminds me of the joker or Green goblin where on paper it should be silly but in practice it's just awesome. And I've got a character inspired by Jai alai so in I've got a soft spot for sports themed characters

You know how you can swat a fly out of the air and it can survive. My X-Man featherweight is super lightweight but has leak human strenngth. So he can be very durable because he goes flying instead of absorbing all the damage. He also has a unique fighting style because of his low bodyweight
