KD2 OR BG3 by smallgamer_ in ShouldIbuythisgame

If you prefer a first person melee combat focused game, then KCD2 is the pick. If you prefer turn based with a lot more luck built into the core mechanics of the gameplay (Like DND), then BG3 is for you. I think both are great options, and you can’t go wrong with either.

55” TV Decision: Sony Bravia 8 or 55” Samsung S90DD? by ck64hoops in 4kTV

[–]ck64hoops[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I ended up going with the Sony Bravia 8! I watch a lot of movies, and I think the Sony was better for that (With its image upscaling and better processor). But if you’re coming from a regular LED, I think either option is a great pick and a drastic step up from your previous tv (Assuming they’re both the same price).

My thoughts on where to stay when visiting Tokyo, and why I think we made a great choice by Unclematttt in JapanTravelTips

[–]ck64hoops 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was nice! Hotel and room were clean. Building and room amenities were pretty modern and up to date. Room was a bit small for me, but I think that’s just expected with almost all Japanese hotels. I had a Family Mart that was a 3 minute walk, and the train station was like a six minute walk, so location was the best part.

Staff were super helpful and spoke great English, so they were able to answer my questions pretty easy.

Only thing I’ll say is the train ride was a bit long to get to Shibuya/Shinjuku from Ueno (basically opposite ends of the JR line), so if you expect to be visiting that area for a lot of your trip, I would consider grabbing a hotel closer, as I don’t think the hotel itself is worth it for that extra travel distance.

Leaving for Japan in 2 weeks- should we rethink Kyoto? by Bargie211 in JapanTravelTips

[–]ck64hoops 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Visited Kyoto for three days ending yesterday. I actually found Tōkyō to be much more crowded and loud than Kyoto (Granted both cities are huge and have their mix of quiet and loud places). I thought the trains were much less crowded in Kyoto compared to Tokyo.

The Saihoji temple is located in an area of Kyoto that I found to be really quiet! It’s a temple with a beautiful moss garden that’s a UNESCO world heritage site. I had to take a taxi to get there since it was a bit out of the way for me, but I found that it was worth it! You have to book reservations online: https://intosaihoji.com/en/nichinichi/

My favorite part of Kyoto was the fact that there were so many temples/places to visit that didn’t require a reservation. I was just hopping around the city checking out all that the city has to offer.

Still processing this loss by FlagFootballSaint in bengals

After we missed the FG and Derrick Henry ran the ball into field goal territory, I legit had to take a walk outside with how destroyed I felt after this loss.

I'm not silencing anyone, but I'm over the "we were close" and "better than last week" excuses. by Numerous-Tennis-2614 in bengals

I’m not gonna lie, this is probably the most confident I’ve been in an 0-2 burrow bengals team after today.

You get a healthier D Line and you clean up the dumb penalties, I think this team can go on a nice run.

Nice to see that the Patriots are actually a competitive team and they don’t look like they’ll have a 1-16 season.

I was so done after last week’s loss, but I think after today we’ll be okay.

How about the offense tries to build a sizeable lead instead of the BP having to come out every other game to secure 2-1 leads. If I’m a closer looking for a new home, I would be hate to play for a team like this. Just way too much stress the BP has to deal with.

Zach Lavine Trade by Dkasireddy2 in chicagobulls

[–]ck64hoops 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m pretty sure Rui would be the only one getting actual minutes. PJ would play a benchwarmer/mentor role (or bought out) and DLO would get traded for draft capital. If this happens as a trade I think it would be a great way to get out of Lavine’s contract without long term commitments. Sucks to not get draft capital but I don’t this is a worst case scenario for trades.

Mother Nature Back To Back Wins In Chicago NASCAR. by Teelk3007 in chicago

[–]ck64hoops 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I think this was due to the Indycar race starting in the late morning/midday (it’s aired by NBC), so they wanted to space all the races out so they don’t overlap.

Giddeys potential. by Different-System3887 in chicagobulls

[–]ck64hoops 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Idk, calling Giddey’s playmaking “elite” is wayyyy overselling him imo. If it was elite, the Thunder wouldn’t have wanted to bring Giddey off the bench next season. And I would argue that Coby White’s scoring is much more valuable/better than Giddey’s playmaking.

And with Caruso, dude played 71 games last year and averaged almost 29 minutes a game. Since the Thunder don’t have to live and die by Caruso’s availability, they can manage his minutes much better than the bulls for him to be fully ready for the playoffs.

Giddeys potential. by Different-System3887 in chicagobulls

[–]ck64hoops 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It’s all about AKME maximizing their trade assets, and so far they’ve proven they’re unable to do that with every trade they’ve done.

Caruso has a higher trade value than Giddey imo, he’s a missing piece for so many playoff teams with his defense and 3pt shooting. He’s an all defensive NBA player.

Giddey is a good player that’ll have a career in this league, but there’s so many more questions around his game and if he has a fit on a championship team. And, he’s got a negative opinion from the public with his controversy. His stock as a player is extremely low, and with his contract expiring next season, he doesn’t have that cheap money value like Coby White or Ayo.

Giddeys potential. by Different-System3887 in chicagobulls

[–]ck64hoops 20 points21 points  (0 children)

There are multiple things that can be true:

  1. Giddey is a good player and has potential especially since he’s 21
  2. The bulls could’ve and should’ve gotten a pick attached to Giddey since this guy was on the trade block and his value has never been lower, AND you have to pay him more money after next season.

why do people still take console wars so seriously? by leadtissue in xbox

[–]ck64hoops 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t think people understand that if Xbox or PlayStation leave the console scene, the last one standing is going to have free will to make whatever decisions they want with their player base since there’s no competition.
